Ruffled and Bundled Up

whitecoat6

Maybe I just get cold easily.  Maybe I just love coats.  I think it's a little of both.  Either way, I love the holiday season because you get to bundle up in your favorite outerwear.  Of course, I love a great ruffled peacoat so I couldn't wait to get this one out of my closet :)

Coat- Express
Jeans- Zara
Booties- Betsey Johnson

I feel like this coat is a statement piece on its own so I didn't really accessorize it too much.  Just added some skinnies and leopard booties and I was ready to go!

In other news, our engagement photos went great!  We shot in some urban and natural areas and our dogs got to be in most of our pictures too.  It was fun to have Kevin in front of the camera for once, even if he is camera shy.  He was a natural by the end :)

What are you doing for Thanksgiving?  I'd love to hear your plans.

xoxo

  4. Ok, that coat is absolutely darling! I will admit - I really struggle with wearing coats. I think it's because I'm a summer kind of gal and will hang onto the season for as long as I can - but I would wear that lovely piece in a heartbeat! Those leopard shoes too...gah <3!

You are gorgeous Ashley! xo Marisa

  5. I love this coat and those shoes are AMAZING. Do you have any photos of them up close? Mostly just because I'm a shoe creep. Also your hair is very long looking again.

And I CANNOT wait to see the photos! I bet they are stunning.

  11. Oh, that coat is so you! Cute, cute!

We're having Thanksgiving at our (my parents' and mine) house for the first time in...ever, basically. My mom's a great cook, but we used to go to a family friend's growing up and then for a few years after my grandfather died my grandmother insisted on eating out (not the same thing at ALL).
