When I received this galaxy skirt in the mail I was both perplexed and excited. Jessica of
Midwest Muse did such a fantastic job styling this skirt on her own that I seriously couldn't think of anything different that would look remotely as good. So instead of trying to mess with perfection, I just had some fun and added anything I owned that was spiky.

I finally went to the hair salon on Saturday. My roots were beyond terrible and I was pretty excited to cut my bangs again. It's funny because every once in awhile I get the urge to grow them out, and when they finally do, I cut them all over again. I just need to accept that I love my bangs and I should keep it this way. At least I get to throw my ridiculously talented hairdresser Matt a curveball every now and again :).

ReplyDeleteI am so in love with how you styled it. It's the least girly thing you've worn in so long (not that it's a bad thing) but I like the edgier different look. You did a good job hiding them roots and I think bangs are the best thing, EVER. And I'm so jealous that you can rock straight across bangs.
ReplyDeleteI love how each of the ways this skirt has been styled up it looks so different, just by the colors used by each of the girls! I really like how it looks with the all black, and your gorgeous red hair pulls out the dark red color in the skirt! Lovely :)
ReplyDeleteThe skirt is soooo gorgeous!!! Very unique piece. I love it and I really want it! lol

Though I have enjoyed how the other girls' have styled this, but I think this is a very unique (and stellar, no pun intended) styling. The long sleeves and spikes really work well with this. Like Jessica said it is fun to se your style changed up just a bit with the edgier vibe while still being your style.
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! You really did make galaxy more your classic style. Love it x

ReplyDeleteoh my god, when i had red hair and let it grow out even a little bit it'd look like a disaster. i never noticed your roots though, so that's good :) and i don't know what it is about spikes that go with galaxy print so well, but this outfit is amazing! i love how it all goes together so perfectly
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing this skirt, it's so amazing! I LOVE how you went with all dark accents and spikes, it really complements the skirt perfectly. And I love love love the bangs on you!
ReplyDeletehaha i love the "isntead of trying to beat perfection i just added everything spiky"! this is a total rockstar look and you look amazing in it! your hair looks awesome, i never noticed the roots either & if you can believe it I had that similar hair color about 6 yrs ago, you wouldnt have even recognized naturally blondish me haha. btw i'm going to post on this skirt on the FT blog Friday. are you going to do a post on there w/ it too or only on your blog? Wondering if I should I include a pic from here too or wait for you to post it there.
