Paper Crown Fall Lookbook

If you have never seen Lauren Conrad's line Paper Crown, now is the time to check it out.  Her designs are feminine and flatter a woman's body so perfectly.  She definitely personifies my style and I was pretty excited when she gave a little preview of her fall collection on her website.

I am absolutely in love with that maxi dress!  Pink, lace, and a pretty bow, couldn't ask for anything cuter!  I also love the pencil skirt with the bow (are you seeing a trend here?).  Although the fall collection doesn't come out until August, I'll be starting a little dress fund for that maxi dress.  Some things are worth the money (and the wait)!

Mint and Feathers

Everything (except the bow ring)- Forever 21
Bow ring- Betsey Johnson
Lipstick- NARS in Barbarella

I guess this is my way of bragging about my inexpensive yet super cute outfit.  Nothing here cost more than 40 dollars and I'm proud of it!  While I love the designer brands, I'm not financially able to support such a collection.  I can own cute trends and not feel guilty about a huge hole in my bank account.

This is also my first mint colored item in my closet.  I know I'm late on the trend, but I'm pretty sure it will last throughout Spring :)

Makeup Review: Smashbox Limitless Long Wear Lip Gloss

Who doesn't love a good lip gloss?  I may own a bunch of lipstick, but my my favorite lip product is a nice gloss.  Lip gloss tends to last longer and I like the subtle color it can provide.
I recently made a trip to Sephora and decided to try a product by Smashbox called Limitless Long Wear Lip Gloss ($22).  I purchased it in For Keeps, which is a sheer baby pink.  I really liked the color and the gloss was pretty thick, only one coat was needed!  What I really liked was how long it stayed on.  I only had to reapply once, and that was after having lunch.  It keeps your lips shimmery and moisturized for hours.

I liked it so much that I also bought it in Limitless, a shimmery coral color.  This color is really sheer so I wear it over a coral lipstick.  Overall I really enjoy this product.  While it may not outlast a meal, it's really great for work or a night out.

What's your favorite gloss?  I'm always looking for the next great beauty product :)

Gold Lion

 Top- Forever 21
Skirt- H&M
Shoes- Steve Madden
Bracelet- Gift

I remember the days when I would hit the Hollywood clubs to dance the night away.  It really didn't matter if I had to work the next day or not, I had my fun and dealt with the sleep deprivation later.  While my life is nothing like that anymore (I'm a pretty big grump the next day if I don't fall asleep by 10:30pm), my love for that music remains.  I've been on a huge Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The White Stripes, Belle and Sebastian, and Bloc Party binge lately.  I blast it in my car at 5:45am, partly to get myself in a good mood for work and partly to wake up!

This bracelet is actually from India.  A friend work work recently went to visit some family and brought home this beauty.  I love it!

Hope you're having a great week!

Betsey Girl

Jumper- Betsey Johnson (last year)
Shoes- Steve Madden
Earrings- Betsey Johnson
Bracelet- Swarovski

If you have been reading my blog for some time, you may have recognized this floral jumper in a previous post.  Well, I've finally had the chance to photograph it!  This was my favorite Betsey purchase last year and it's a shame that I don't get to wear it too often (2 times to be exact).  If the weather allows it, I'll be wearing it much more this year.  Do I need to mention that it has pockets?  Because that was a huge selling point for me :)

Betsey's Spring collection this year is filled with pastels and floral prints.  If it weren't for my need to save my extra income, I'd probably own most of it already!

What's your must-have piece this Spring?

Layer Cake

 Top- Thrifted (Banana Republic)
Skirt- Forever 21 (old)
Tights- H&M
Shoes- Unknown
Necklace- Gift
Ring- Forever 21

Going thifting here in LA can actually be pretty cool.  While you still have to sift through mounds of stuff, the rewards are so much better.  I used to live in a not so far away suburb where thrifting was basically going to the Salvation Army.  Not that it's a bad thing, but thrifting here in LA it is easy to find pieces from Juicy, Betsey Johnson, Missoni, and more.

The first time I ever thrifted in LA I bought this Banana Republic shirt.  I love the color (purple is my favorite), the delicate details, and the buttons.  I rarely wear it, mainly because it gets swallowed by other items in my closet, but I love pairing it with this skirt.  It also has delicate details, I especially love the bling on the back zipper.  It also reminds me of a cake... I have no idea why.

My Boys

I don't talk about these boys enough (unless you're friends with me on Facebook) but they are truly the sweetest boys.  I'm so happy we decided to adopt Tommy to keep Paczki company while my boyfriend and I are at work.  Initially Paczki had to warm up to Tommy, but now they are the greatest of friends.  They make every single day so much happier, I can't imagine my life without them!

Oh, and have I mentioned these guys were both adopted?  Who the heck would ever want to get rid of these cuties?!

Happy Easter!

Dress- Lauren Conrad for Kohl's
Sandals- Steve Madden
Necklace- Betsey Johnson
Rings- Forever 21

Spring is officially here which means my pastels are in full effect.  I absolutely love this tiered maxi dress.  I got it on sale at Kohl's about two years ago and I love it just as much now as I did then.  Because the dress has a pretty and busy print, I wanted to go pretty minimal on the accessories.  Except for the shoes, those are an accessory of their own!

Hope you are enjoying your Easter weekend!  I'm just happy the weather is nice and warm and that I get to enjoy it with my loved ones :)
