Anyone who knows me can say that I'm a smart minded shopper.  While there are people who will save for months for one article, I tend to find a great deals and get many different things.  This is not one of those times :)

I have a good friend with great taste who gifted a few items to me for my birthday.  He shops at Neiman Marcus, therefore I was left like a kid in a fashion candy store picking the items I most wanted.  One of these items is this amazing Naven maxi skirt.  It has great flow and I just feel like a princess when I wear it.  I love the zipper in the back!  The other item is this delicate 525 America white tank top.  I feel like you can do anything with this top, plus, it's not completely sheer. 

I also scored these amazing Bestey Johnson bow spiked leopard booties over the weekend.  While their stores may be closing, I got a fantastic deal (and the last pair in the store)!  What do you think?

I hope you had an amazing Memorial Day weekend.  I spent mine going to delicious restaurants, BBQ's, and I had the chance to go on Transformers the ride at Universal Studios.  It was insane!  Did you do anything fun?  I want to hear it!

I have been waiting for the perfect day to wear this skirt.  I actually wore it at my anniversary dinner earlier this month but I really felt that a high waist skirt needs to be paired with a cropped top.  While I don't own any, I just tied up one of my basic tops and I loved the way it looked.  This skirt really is the epitome of my style: classic, girly, and chic.  What do you think?

Oh, I am officially growing out the bangs.  If I have some funky hairdos these next few posts, you now know why :)

Summer is officially in full swing here in Los Angeles.  The heat is almost unbearable, I attended my first BBQ of the summer yesterday, and my winter clothes are on their way back to my storage unit (yes, the closets in my place can't even hold all my clothes... it's a sickness).  While I have yet to put on a swimsuit, I feel the urge to slap one on and high tail it to the beach.  Anyone want to come with?

Just letting you all know my brother is doing well and is finally recovering at home!  This past week was super stressful and I'm so thankful to all of you for the well wishes.

I feel really horrible because I have not paid any attention to my blog these last few days.  On Saturday my younger brother went to the hospital and ended up having lung surgery on Monday.  Since I have been preoccupied with that (along with both my dogs being sick... my guess is food poisoning) I had waited until tonight to put in a few minutes here.

I fell in love with this dress when the amazingly gorgeous Jessica from The Midwest Muse wore it last month.  I waited until this dress came back in stock and as of today I can call it mine :).  It's really versatile and I love any dress you where can wear a regular bra underneath (hello comfortable!).

I'm hoping you have a great week.  Mine has already been pretty crazy so I'm hoping for a slow down stat!

Thank You Betsey

In case you didn't know, Betsey Johnson has filed for bankruptcy which means she will no longer be designing or selling her amazing line.  All her stores are closing and I will no longer have the joy of playing dress up or bonding with the great Betsey girls I've met all over the country.  Betsey is my personal favorite designer and I'm pretty devastated that I won't have the chance to expand my collection.

I'm going to miss her feminine dresses, funky jewelry, sparkly bags, and her great staff!  She has inspired my style for years and I am so thankful for a designer who knows me (even if she has no idea who I am).  I am so sad :(

This is somewhat of an old dress, but I love it.  I rarely let the legs out (as you can tell by my whiteness) but this past week has been so incredibly hot that I've had to break out the summer dresses.  Now to get a little bit of a tan so these dresses work even better...

Oh, if you haven't been to Target lately, you should check out their new line The Webster.  I just bought a few pieces and they are AMAZING!  I'll post some pics soon!
