I have just one more day left for my spooky outfit series! Depending on how crazy today is, I might be able to knock out one more tomorrow. I decided to go very "basic" with this Halloween inspired outfit, which might be boring but it's perfect for everyday wear. When in doubt, black and white stripes are always the perfect go-to. Which might explain why I have about ten different tops in the same print...

Greeting Temptation
Let the spooky outfits continue! I've kept my word so far and I plan to keep them coming until Saturday. Like I've said before; dressing up in costumes isn't my thing, but wearing spooky inspired outfits appropriate for everyday life certainly is! This warm cabana striped skirt always felt more like Halloween to me, so it seems fitting to wear it this time of year. I can assure you it gets wear all year around though. I went for a more "witchy" vibe with black pieces and my favorite new boots. I finished this look with my trusty Sandworm brooch. You've probably seen him a lot because I wear him almost everyday. It's so hard not to play favorites!

Venus
I think I may have been one of the only ladies who wasn't eager to get my hands on this venus fly trap skirt... Initially. As big of a fan of Micheline Pitt's prints as I am (I'm pretty sure I own them all), there was something about it that made me feel hesitant to get one. When I received my monster print Darling Dames skirt a few weeks ago (seen here), I realized how much I love the new shorter length and the pockets. So naturally, I wanted to get a few prints to add to my wardrobe. This print is much more beautiful in person and I'm happy pushed away my hesitation and went for it!

Idle Hands
Until Halloween, my posts will be dedicated to spooky themed everyday outfits. I don't usually get excited about costumes, but I love to dress the part in my daily life. I'm quite proud of myself for accumulating enough black dresses to have a visible black "section" now! This LBD from Karina Dresses is the perfect piece to dress up, down, or spooky!

Darling Dames
This skirt has a place in my heart for many reasons, but specifically because it was the item that turned my BFF Sammi of The Soubrette Brunette on to wearing skirts. For as long as we've been friends, she's been a dress only kind of gal (as was I). In the last year I've added a ridiculous amount of separates to my wardrobe but Sammi stayed strong! That is, until this Darling Dames skirt came to be. I couldn't wait to hear her thoughts on this skirt and I was delighted to know that she loves it just as much as I do! So today the two of us blogged our fetish print skirts and featured each other as well. Because that's what fun (and matchy) friends do!

What's On My Radar: Current Loves
I'm assuming it's no surprise that this month is dedicated to all things spooky and Halloween related! I proudly wear Halloween inspired clothing and accessories all year, so I get excited when my favorite stores are full of fun prints to add to my collection. Here are my picks for this month:
1. Black Witch Crown
2. Luxulite Pumpkin Brooch
3. Glamour Ghoul Dress In Black and White Stripes
4. Faux Diamond Spider Brooch
5. Lovely Lips Clutch In Black
This dress has been on my wishlist for so long! It should be available soon (fingers crossed!) because I'm dying to wear this to a Halloween party. Did I mention that the peplum is removable? It's a statement piece on its own, but a few spooky accessories will totally pull this outfit together.
1. Spider Necklace
2. Pitch Black Charm Bracelet
3. Dark Shadows Cat Earrings
4. Spiderweb Ring
5. Dark Shadows Vampire Lips Necklace
Betsey Johnson is the queen of kitschy and her Halloween inspired jewelry line is top notch! I hate spiders in real life, but I'll wear them covered in crystals all year long!
1. Black and White Sugar Skull Jack Crossbody Bag
2. Black Mary Jane Millie Pumps
3. Black Ruffled Flounce Pagoda Umbrella
4. The Happiest Brooch On Earth
5. Frankenstein Brooch
I love a classic black shoe with a retro twist, and I can't get enough of those Mary Janes! I've also been looking to expand my ever growing brooch collection, and this Halloween glittered "D" brooch is calling my name...
1. Minnie Mouse Earrings
2. Vintage Disneyland "D" Earrings
3. Jack-O-Lantern Earrings
4. Spooky Mickey Pumpkin Earrings
5. Halloween Minnie and Mickey Earrings
Melanie is the lovely lady behind Femme De Bloom and I adore so many of her creations! I decided to showcase my favorites in her earring department. There are so many spooky designs to choose from, including lots of brooches and necklaces too!
Do you get into the Halloween spirit? What's on your wishlist this month?

Jitterbug
Something about this Unique Vintage suspender skirt just made me want to sport a head to toe classic look. As much as I love vintage style, I don't actually consider myself a "pinup" because I tend to find inspiration from many eras. I love both colorful and spooky clothing and accessories, more modern hair styles on an everyday basis (my thin hair can't handle all the backcombing!), and I just don't like to pigeonhole myself into one specific aesthetic. But as you can see, today was a bit different. This skirt certainly called for a more polished look and I was all about it!

Tea Time Style
Starting off this week with another Girl Squad post! Sammi, Amanda, Katie, and I have many of the same pieces (are you surprised?) so we decided to show our love for Deer Arrow this time around. We also happened to pair our lovely tea time brooches with some of our favorite vintage pieces. Because there's nothing like mixing in the old with the new!

Cherry Pie
As much as I love doing these mommy and me posts, they get a little bit harder every time. Now that Bianca is older, she feels incredibly independent and doesn't want to stand still. Luckily, I was able to get a few shots of us together because our matching outfits are too cute! Both my capri pants and Bianca's neck scarf are from Sourpuss Clothing and happen to be the perfect match!

Long Gone
This outfit post almost didn't happen due to a crippling migraine. I hadn't experienced any migraines since I was pregnant so this one kind of knocked me down yesterday. But as I always say, sometimes putting on makeup and a cute outfit cures all. This time it didn't work but Kevin came home with burritos and migraine medicine. Now I'm pretty sure burritos cure all...

Weekend Barbie
Shorts are a new and unexpected addition to my current wardrobe, but I'm welcoming them with open arms. As someone who is very self conscious about their bottom half (mine tends to be much larger than the rest of my body), shorts just tend to emphasize it. But I'm coming to terms with, and starting to love my body, so I decided to feature them here. I have several pairs of these Laura Byrnes shorts because they're extremely flattering. I love the high cut, wide waistband, and pockets. The back band is elasticized, so there's no gaping when you sit down. I feel lucky that I can enjoy these shorts a little while longer before they're packed away until spring!

Darkness to Dawn
I love bringing new styles I wouldn't normally give the time of day into my closet. For the lack of a better term, I tend to be "boobaphobic" and the thought of displaying the girls makes me anxious. Luckily, the new Erin dresses provide a sexy yet tasteful neckline that I've completely fallen in love with. It's given me a new appreciation for my post baby (and post breastfeeding) body.
