Darkness to Dawn

Pinup Girl Clothing Pinup Couture Erin Swing Dress in Three-Quarter Sleeves in Black

I love bringing new styles I wouldn't normally give the time of day into my closet.  For the lack of a better term, I tend to be "boobaphobic" and the thought of displaying the girls makes me anxious.  Luckily, the new Erin dresses provide a sexy yet tasteful neckline that I've completely fallen in love with.  It's given me a new appreciation for my post baby (and post breastfeeding) body.

Dress- Pinup Girl Clothing (coming soon!)
Shoes- Chelsea Crew
Bracelet- c/o Touchstone Crystal via Swarovski
Necklace- Old
Lipstick- Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Dusty Lilac

The original Erin dress is a sleeveless bengaline wiggle dress.  The Erin has not only been revamped, two other styles (a cap sleeved version and the one I'm wearing here) have emerged as well.  While I'm not opposed to a wiggle, I feel like the swing version is more versatile and can be worn on a more casual day with some cute flats.  This is my first bengaline piece and I'm surprised how stretchy and structured it is.  I don't know why I've waited so long to take the plunge!  If you're between sizes, I'd highly suggest sizing down due to the accommodating fabric.

All three Erin versions aren't available online yet, but if you're in the Los Angeles area, you can pick one of at the Pinup Girl Boutique like I did.  If not, make sure to get on the waitlist online so you can be notified when it does!

  1. You look so pretty. What a perfect dress. My sister is coming to Los Angeles and to PUG's store because I asked her to bring me some dresses, and I'm so excited. I live in Finland so I don't get to use PUG clothes much because of the postage and custom fees. Now I can finally get some PUG in my closet! I have no idea what to choose. How do I know what's in the store, if everything is not online? This dress is sooo on my list.

    1. Thank you Alisa! I think the best thing to do is make a list and have your sister call the boutique before she gets there. While the boutique has tons of options, it's best to call before she goes. They can even put your picks on hold for her too! Hope this helps <3

  2. Ashley--looking amazing as always! This dress is one of the new styles I've been drooling over. Do you think it would be too much to want this in both black and red? ;-) It looks super versatile: it looks like it can easily be dressed up or down depending on the accessories. Since it is stretchy, and I am between sizes, would you recommend picking the smaller size? Thanks!

    1. Awww thanks Connie! Well, considering I'm also looking at the green version I'd say no, haha! I would absolutely recommend the smaller size, the fabric is very stretchy and will hug your body perfectly!

  4. I love this dress! You really nailed it with the description - tasteful and sexy. The green and red ones would make good holiday dresses, too!
