What's this? A new collection based on one of my favorite movies? Unique Vintage has teamed up with Disney to offer this amazing Nightmare Before Christmas collection! While there are plenty of stunning pieces to choose from, I instantly fell in love with this Jack Skellington western jacket and matching pants. The best part: I can wear them for spooky season *and* Halloween because this movie is great for both holidays. I know that's a hot take to some but it's true!

Both the jacket and the pants are made from a very stretchy bengaline fabric. It's super comfortable to wear and retains its shape. I comfortably wear a size medium in Unique Vintage pants and decided to size up to a medium for the jacket so I can layer with it. I'm glad I did size up because both pieces definitely fit more snug than most mediums. While the fabric does stretch, the band on the pants does not. So if you're between sizes I would definitely size up! I can't wait to wear this to Disneyland, it's the perfect outfit to wear when meeting Jack and Sally!

Black Tilly

 

It feels like a hot minute since I've photographed an outfit here due to an insane schedule and lots of big life changes. Luckily, I was able to sneak away because (as usual) The Pretty Dress Company delivered on one of the best dresses in my closet. I'm a huge fan of the Tilly style and this dress in classic black is everything I need for spooky events and beyond.

The Tilly prom dress is made from a slightly stretchy fabric and features an off the shoulder neckline with bows, a voluminous pleated skirt, deep hidden side pockets and a back zippered closure. As with all their products, this dress is made with so much love. It's fully lined and has a boned bodice for that perfect silhouette. It also came with a matching hair bow which I *love*. I'm wearing my usual Pretty Dress size which is a UK8 and the fit is spot on. The Tilly is available in many colors and prints and also comes in a wiggle version as well! While I consider this dress a bit of a splurge, I think it's one of those pieces that will live in your closet forever. I have a few of their dresses from almost ten years ago that are still in perfect condition. They truly stand the test of time.

I haven't shared the news here so: we got a new puppy! We adopted her from DawgSquad, which is a rescue we've been adopting from for almost 15 years now. Her name is Winifred and she's a chihuahua/chiweenie and we couldn't be happier! I'm hoping to share more of her here soon so keep your eyes peeled!

Dante's Inferno

 

Just like Beetlejuice: I'm back again! The upcoming Harvey's x Beetlejuice collection is stacked with bags and accessories for every Tim Burton fan and this neon sign foldover crossbody is one of my favorites. Tiny but mighty, this bag matches one of my favorite dresses in my collection and was the perfect finishing touch for this Dante's Inferno inspired outfit.

This foldover crossbody features an embroidered patch of the sign on the front, Beetlejuice charm and magnetic snap closure. The inside has the same the polaroid lining as the poster tote, one zippered pocket and a sandworm zipper pull. It also comes with a black detachable and adjustable crossbody strap. I love that I can carry it as a clutch by easily detaching the strap. It's such a great statement piece and I can't wait to take it with me to one (of many) Beetlejuice Beetlejuice screenings this week!
