I was really excited to snag another gem from Delia's (here is my first one).  Not only is this dress super cute, I got it on clearance for twenty dollars!  I've always been a fan of classic cuts and a full skirt.  Plus I'm a sucker for any polka dot print.

I'm really excited for this weekend because my brother (the one who has been in and out of the hospital) and his girlfriend are moving into the apartment complex directly across the street!  As of right now they are a good 30 minutes away in my old hometown, now they will be about 30 steps away.  I love showing people new restaurants and bars... I just have to wait until my brother's girlfriend turns 21 in a few weeks so we can paint the town red!

Have you ever had a particular article of clothing bring back memories?  This outfit actually has a pretty cute memory attached to it.  Over two years ago I was going on a second date with an ex boyfriend.  While we hadn't dated in a pretty long time, we kept in touch (when he wasn't working in another country) and always had a lot of fun together.  This particular day my ex decided to take me to a Dodger game (sorry if I offend anyone but I haaaaate baseball!).  I was more than happy to go though because I was pretty excited to see him again :)

As it turns out, even in May wearing a jumper in LA was a bad choice.  I was freezing most of the night!  My date gladly sacrificed his button down shirt, and while it helped, we got out of there pretty early.  I kind of laugh when I think about it now because we both dislike baseball.  We had great seats, Blue Moons, and made fun of how boring the game was the entire time.  I guess we bonded over the humor of the situation?

Anyway, that was the second of many other dates.  He's now the love of my life, roommate (lol), father to our two chihuahuas, and the best boyfriend I could ask for.  And it all started with my blue jumper... Okay I'm totally kidding, but it was a great outfit at the start of our lovely relationship.

 Sorry I've been away!  Unfortunately, my brother has been hospitalized again with a collapsed RIGHT lung (the left collapsed last month).  I've been tending to my family but I'm going to try and get back into the groove later this week.  Until then, enjoy my Instagram pics!

Makeup Review: Make Up For Ever Lab Shine

I have to admit, I actually found this lip gloss on accident.  I ran out of my Smashbox lip gloss and forgot to bring the empty tube.  Going to Sephora can be distracting enough, but trying to remember the brand or color was impossible!  So I ended up with a new gloss from Make Up For Ever.

I am extremely happy with my purchase!  Not only does this gloss last forever, but you can wear it alone and get a great color too.  It's like a long wearing lipstick and gloss in one.  I bought mine in S22, which is a pearly candy pink, but you find it in 35 different colors.  

I think it's pretty funny that I went in for a specific product, bought another by accident, and was ultimately happy with my mistake.  Happier than if I had bought my usual Smashbox gloss!  I guess sometimes my absentmindedness works in my favor :)

I'm very excited to wear this skirt because this is part of the winning outfit I styled for Tulle!  I decided to pair up my floral skirt with a black tulle skirt underneath (yes, I realize it is a play on words) for some extra texture and "poof".  I love big heavy skirts so wearing one under another is very common for me.  

I hope you had a great Father's Day!  I had the chance to visit my mother, my father and step mother, my boyfriend's mother, and my grandparents separately and all in one day.  It was a busy day but I love getting to see my family and spend some quality time with them :)
