Can we talk about how proud I am of Amanda and Katie over at Junebugs and Georgia Peaches? They're such hard working and beautiful ladies so I'm not surprised that Laura had them in mind for her new Pinup Girl Clothing collection. I am so excited to wear this new Amanda dress. Not only is it perfectly patriotic (it also comes in two different color ways), it's petite friendly and work appropriate. The rest of their collection should be hitting the site soon so make sure to keep those eyes peeled!

Golightly
Sometimes the things we want take time. This particular dress slipped away from me last summer. Unique Vintage was having a mega sale and I waited a bit too long to pull the trigger. Thankfully, my friend Katie sent this to me a few days ago. It was everything I had wanted and more (can we say full boning and pockets?)! More prints and lengths in this style have been added to the Unique Vintage website and I'm having a hard time not getting them all...

What's On My Radar: Current Loves
My monthly picks are a little late this time around because I had way too many outfits to post! While I may not enjoy the actual heat of summer, I love being able to take a walk after dinner or go on a date night and not to have to worry about layering. As a perpetually cold person, cardigans are a lifesaver in everyday life. But when we hit the summer months it's all about letting your outfit shine. Here are a few favorites:
Voodoo Vixen
3. Victoria Dress
4. Vivenne Dress
5. Carmen Dress
Voodoo Vixen is a wonderful brand with lots of options. They have a massive amount of fun prints, most dresses come in a wiggle and a swing version, and they offer plus sizes. I'm not normally a leopard print person but that Vivenne dress is calling my name!
3. Pretty, Pretty Picnic Dress
4. Beach Blanket Bingo Two Piece Swimsuit
5. Nothin' But Blue Skies Dress
I can't even tell you how obsessed I am with that ice cream dress. Ever since I saw it on my bestie, Sammi, I knew it had to be mine! I'm also eying that lavender two piece because I literally can't pass anything up in that shade of purple.
3. Darling Dames Skirt in Monster Print
4. Junebugs Dress in Birdcage Print
5. Bernadette Dress in Dusty Rose
Have you seen the Coming Soon section of the PUG site lately? Junebugs and Georgia Peaches just started dropping and the new dresses from Laura Byrnes and Deadly Dames are so pretty! Also, petite friendly circle skirts with pockets. I'm so psyched!
1. Pretty Little Paris Eiffel Tower Brooch
2. Pinup Mermaid Neverland Mermaid Lagoon Brooch
3. Curious Leaves from Alice in Wonderland Brooch
4. Sweet Little Seahorse Brooch
5. Dapper Dan Straw Boater Hat Brooch
My lovely friend Amanda turned me on to this wonderful shop filled with the cutest novelty brooches. I'm not one for jewelry in particular but I love a great brooch! The mermaid is definitely my favorite, I actually have one coming to me as I write this. There's also a super cute Dole Whip number if you're looking for something kitschy and sweet!
What's on your wishlist this month? Let me know in the comments below!

Antonella
My love for gingham print probably goes back to my days as a little girl. Back then we would go camping every summer. Other than the smell of a campfire, the gingham picnic tablecloth always personifies those memories. These days I don't think you could pay me to go camping, but at least I can wear something to remind me of the days when I didn't mind being dirty and adventurous!

Black and White
Don't get me wrong, I love a great summery print. But there's something about the Pinup Girl Clothing Gothic Capsule Collection that has me drooling! This skirt has been sold out for many long months and I have been searching every corner of the internet for one. Thankfully, they decided to bring it back and I snagged one brand new. Unlike other Jenny skirts, this one is made of a thick, almost canvas like material. While I wore an underskirt in these pictures it wasn't actually necessary. This is absolutely my favorite skirt in life. It pleases my inner goth, haha!

Brandy Rose
This dress is what dreams are made of. The moment I laid eyes on this beautiful handmade piece I knew it had to be mine. Thankfully, my lovely husband snatched it up for me for Mother's Day before anyone else could. Gail, the wonderful woman behind Red Ruby Vintage, takes vintage patterns and vintage fabric and makes these gorgeous one of a kind pieces for her shop. I'm so honored to own a few of her creations and I look forward to adding more to my wardrobe.

Evangeline
Thanks to the ladies who commented on my last post, I went ahead and tried to dress down one of my favorite wiggle dresses. As you've probably noticed, I don't wear wiggles often. Because I chase a toddler around all day they're not considered practical in my life. Yesterday I went to work at the boutique so it was the perfect time to try it out. It was really weird to wear flats with this dress at first, but I quickly got over it. I'm hoping this will inspire me to take the plunge more often!

Chase the Clouds Away
You know that feeling when a collection of coveted things is complete? That's how I felt when I received this skirt. The last to be released in the Mary Blair collection, this umbrella print is easily one of my favorites. This skirt was absolutely worth the wait! I love the hints of blue and red, which is why I paired it with a red peasant top. As much as I love the pink, I wanted the small details to shine.

Starry Night
It's been really tough getting a start on this week. Working the Yard Sale last weekend really threw me off! The lack of sleep probably weakened my system because I'm dealing with what I think is a cold (although it could be crazy allergies). Luckily, I'm not working until the weekend so I intend to be as lazy as possible!

Lavender Unicorn
To those who love clothing as much as I do, the word "unicorn" is used quite often. Usually something that is no longer available for purchase, a unicorn is something that's nearly impossible to find but wanted more than anything to be a part of your closet. That's how I feel about this Jenny dress. Obviously, I love all the purple things and having the lavender version of one of my favorite dresses was a must. I stumbled upon a used one in a swap and sell group and I'm so happy it's mine. I don't think there's anything more perfect to represent my personal style. Except for maybe my other unicorn, the dark purple version. Thankfully I acquired that one last week at work!

Take Me To Marseilles
This week seems to be flying by! I'm gearing up for a very busy weekend full of work so I'm trying my best to enjoy my off days at home. Of course, I always seem to have something to do when I really should be catching up on my DVR shows and spending quality time with Bianca (sometimes these things happen simultaneously). I haven't taken her on a mini adventure in a few weeks so I'm hoping I can work one in today. The best free days are the ones where we share new experiences together. The look on her face is the ultimate reward!

Sing It Again
I feel like there are certain inanimate objects that embody you as a person. If you haven't noticed it from my closet, this Mary Blair lips and roses print happens to be one of those things. I own it in both colors in the skirt, swing, and wiggle dress versions. I love girly prints with pretty colors and wearing this collection makes me feel like a princess. Like many other ladies, the Mary Blair collection is my favorite. I almost wish there were more prints to collect!
