Thanks to the ladies who commented on my last post, I went ahead and tried to dress down one of my favorite wiggle dresses. As you've probably noticed, I don't wear wiggles often. Because I chase a toddler around all day they're not considered practical in my life. Yesterday I went to work at the boutique so it was the perfect time to try it out. It was really weird to wear flats with this dress at first, but I quickly got over it. I'm hoping this will inspire me to take the plunge more often!

This Evangeline dress is one of the newest styles from Pinup Girl Clothing. It has the same top as the Ella dress but without the pockets and the swing skirt. Unlike other wiggle dresses from PUG, this one is fully lined in satin. It makes it much more comfortable to wear, but provides less stretch. I still managed to get my larger bottom half into my normal size and it fits perfectly. I'm hoping they make this dress in more prints in the future!
I've been really lazy with my hair lately. I'm usually adamant about my sponge roller routine but it seems I've been in a bit of a funk. I'm ready to get back to it though. I really love the curl a sponge roller gives me. As easy as heated curls can be, I just don't like them as much. I can't let my laziness win anymore. I hope I'm not the only one, haha!

It is fun to see you experiment with styles like this and nice to see the wiggle dress can be dressed down.
ReplyDeleteThis dress looks so awesome on you. I love how you dressed it down with flats and a cardigan. It definitely works!

Side swept bangs and a ponytail go a long way to make an outfit look more casual as well. Casual, but still put together.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is amazing. Love the vintage look.
