Happy Holidays

 

Happy holidays! Today is Christmas Day, which means it's also my birthday. Being a Christmas baby is weird because everyone is busy with their own families and traditions. It's often looked over and I really had a hard time with that when I was younger. Now that I'm a mom I have a smaller version of myself counting down the days and hyping it up for me. She's truly the gift I've always wished for and it warms my heart that she loves and cares for me enough to make sure it's a special day for me.

Everything I am wearing here has been featured on my blog before but really brings out the holiday spirit. I'm especially enamored with this hat, which also lights up! Bianca has a matching pink version (of course) and we like to wear them every year.

I don't have anything really profound to say but I'm just to honored that I've had readers for almost fourteen years. Blogs are kind of a thing of the past but I just don't think I could ever stop posting here. I enjoy looking back at my fashion choices (good and bad) and the little thoughts that came with them. Thank you for being here and following along on my life's journey through fashion :)

Dracula

 

Christmas is right around the corner and all I want to do is wear all the Dracula things. Red *is* a holiday color you know! La Femme En Noir's Bram Stoker's Dracula collection is one of my favorites of all time and I had to add this Gothic Tales dress to my wardrobe. Unlike more of their costume inspired pieces (the Mina dress being my favorite) the Gothic Tales dress feels more like an everyday piece. It's ridiculously comfortable and easy to wear in most seasons.

The Gothic Tales dress is one of La Femme En Noir's fan-favorite styles. It has a lace front bodice, leg of mutton sleeves, a dropped waist with a gathered skirt, deep side pockets and a back zippered closure. The jersey knit fabric is smooth to the touch and wrinkle resistant with a good amount of stretch. I love the illustrations that compose a hauntingly beautiful Dracula print. If you're a fan of the movie you'll love this print! I'm wearing my usual size small and while I think I could have worn an XS as well, I like how the small fits me. I paired it with the matching helmet bag for the ultimate Dracula inspired look. Both of these items are currently on sale on the website right now!
