Now that the holidays are over we're focusing on one of our favorite days: Valentine's Day! We love celebrating all kinds of love and these Ivy City Co picnic dresses are the perfect pieces for the big day. I love that this silhouette is more relaxed and it's so easy to dress them up or down. Whether we're going to a fancy dinner or a day at Disneyland, these dresses are ready for any Valentine's adventure!

The picnic dress has a tie front ruffle neckline, shirred back, empire waist, puff sleeves, tiered skirt with hidden side pockets and a back zippered closure. These dresses are so comfortable thanks to the open waistline and the shirring elastic back allows for extra comfort. I'm wearing a size XS (I tend to be between a size XS and S) and I love the fit. Bianca is wearing a size 11-12 and she is comfortable with room to grow.

This new year may be filled with uncertainty but one thing remains true: my wardrobe is filled with beautiful La Femme En Noir pieces that make me happy. Their officially licensed Crimson Peak collection is everything my Victorian heart could ever desire and the Lady Lucille dress is at the top of that list. The dress is stunning on its own but the capelet truly makes my heart flutter!

The Lady Lucille is a velour fabric and features a button up bodice (the top three buttons are functional), scoop neckline, leg of mutton pleated sleeves, full pleated skirt with deep pockets and a back zippered closure. The capelet has tiered pleats, rayon and chiffon trims and a ribbon tie closure. Seriously, I am obsessed with the capelet! It pays homage to Lady Lucille while also being extremely comfortable to wear.

This dress is made in sizes XS-4X and is also available in black (which I absolutely need as well). I'm wearing my usual size small and it's a perfect fit without being too constrictive. I received the new restock of this dress and it fits true to size compared to the original run. I would definitely recommend going with your usual size. Shop this dress while it's still in stock, it seems to sell out quickly every time!

Heartbreak Hotel

 

Happy 2025! I'm so excited to promote the new Harvey's x Elvis collection! Tomorrow would have been his 90th birthday and I can't think of a better way to honor his legacy. Elvis is a big part of our family, Bianca shares a birthday with him and we are all obsessed with his music. The whole collection is stunning but this Heartbreak Hotel crossbody feels like it was made for me!

The Heartbreak Hotel crossbody is a heart shaped seatbelt bag and features embroidery on both sides. I love the pink piping along the edges and the charms are everything! It's a hotel key with Elvis on one side and Heartbreak Hotel on the other. There is also an adorable skeleton key to compliment the other charm. The zipper pulls are guitar picks with TCB on one side and Elvis' signature as well. The inside boasts a zippered pocket and two open pockets and the lining features a bunch of Elvis' album covers. It's finished with a removable Elvis adjustable crossbody strap. It's the perfect size and I can't think of a better way to show off your love for Elvis!
