Posed to Death

I couldn't be more happy to bring more black into my closet.  Yes, it's a black dress with zombie pinups on it, but black nonetheless. I've been really happy with my last few Hell Bunny purchases.  While the brand does run a little large, once I figured out my correct size I realized how much I love them.  It's also pretty dangerous that we carry Hell Bunny at work.  Pretty dresses + employee discount = huge dent in paycheck!

Desert Rose

If you've been following my blog for some time, you will know that I'm not much of a lipstick person.  I love the idea of it, but the actual wear is such a pain to me.  I usually stick with a tinted gloss or a rosy pink creme lipstick at most.  That is, until I put this dress on.  Something about it made we want to dust off my YSL red lipstick and work it!  I don't use the word "sexy" very often but I was definitely feeling it today.

City and Sea

I happened to look back on some really old posts of mine and I noticed something: I never photograph my bags anymore!  I think the main reason is that I usually carry around a Hello Kitty diaper bag these days.  But on the rare occasion that I'm Bianca free, I love to dust off a cute bag and carry lipstick instead of diaper rash cream.  While I love this particular one, lipstick is about the only thing you can put into it.  It's cute though and we all know that cute trumps functionality!

A Certain Romance

I love taking risks and trying new cuts when it comes to dresses, but nothing compares to a great fit and flare.  It's timeless and it flatters pretty much every body type.  I have so many fit and flares in my closet but I'd like to think each has their own special details.  This dress was on my Modcloth wishlist forever and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!  I was obsessed with the neckline and how unique it was, plus the print is wonderful for pretty much any season.  After it was discounted a few times I finally had the courage to purchase it.  Good deals come to those who wait!

Remix: Red Zara shoes

I love a good remix post!  Unfortunately, I live in a closet of dresses and rarely remix them (on the blog at least).  So today I'm going to show you the different ways I wear my favorite red Zara wedges.  These were definitely an impulse buy, but they've been great for pretty much any outfit.  It's a great way to dress up a less "fancy" outfit or dress down an outfit that would normally would call for fancy platform heels.  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my first true remix post!

Rock Steady

Let the changes begin!  I had mentioned last week that my purple hair was going away (R.I.P.) and here is the end result.  It still kind of freaks me out when I look in the mirror, I'm totally not used to it!  Since bleaching my hair was no longer in my future I decided to go more natural.  My real color is actually lighter than this but I wanted something with more depth.  My friend did a such wonderful job and I'm really happy with the result.

If you haven't noticed, my blog has also gone through some changes.  Joyce of Joyful Outfits did such a fantastic job with the new design, I'm totally in love!   While I was happy with the old design, I thought it was about time to freshen things up.  I hope you like it too :)

Through the Looking Glass

  Who else is psyched that it's Friday?  Even though I'm on call Sunday, I'm really excited to spend some time with Kevin and my brother.  My amazing little bro got a great job and we are going out to celebrate tonight!  Tomorrow I'm going on a movie date with Kevin to see Iron Man 3.  Can you guess who picked the movie?  I also get the chance to make a little extra "house fund" money at work on Sunday.  But honestly, I hope nobody needs emergency surgery.  I'd rather be making money from home!

Out of the Ordinary

Yep, it's true.  I'm wearing pants.  This isn't a very common occurrence but I felt like challenging myself today and pants was the best/hardest way to do it.  Not only do I think pants make my hourglass figure look misshapen, but I have a hard time putting together a cute outfit that also feels feminine.  I'm most comfortable when my legs are free from constricting jean material so you can see why I considered this a challenge!  Either way, I was up for it and I feel this outfit is feminine enough for me.

Be Mine

Oh Valentine's Day, I both love and hate you at the same time.  On one hand, I love going out to a romantic dinner and spending time with my husband.  And on the other, I hate that it's forced, the restaurants are always crowded, and let's face it: we go out to romantic dinners on the regular.  I guess I'm just a lucky gal, but every year I vow not to do anything special.  And of course, every year we do at least a special dinner.  Maybe this year will be different but I'm not counting on it :)

New Beginnings

Are you ready for the new year?  Honestly, 2013 does seem a little daunting for me.  Kevin and I are (supposed to be) planning a wedding for April or May.  We are looking to own a home before the end of the year.  Plus, we plan on starting a family soon after the wedding.  It just feels like so much change for one year!  While I may be a complete creature of habit, I'm looking forward to the change that is coming... as long as we do it one step at a time :)

Let the parties begin...

  If you're even somewhat social like me (I only go out on the weekends) then you probably have a few parties to attend this holiday season.  Whether it's a work holiday party, family party, or New Year's Eve party, it can be really hard to put together an outfit on a whim.  And if you're like me, you probably need to spend as little as possible!  So here is my go-to holiday party outfit on a budget aka what I could put together from my closet :)

Out on the Town

When I first started this blog I was pretty determined not to show you any repeats.  I wanted to challenge myself by trying to wear everything in my closet.  But the more blogs I read, the more I realize that "remixing" the same outfit in different ways is both more challenging and useful.  This dress was first worn on my blog here, and now I'm going to show you more of a dressed down look.

Ruffled and Bundled Up

Maybe I just get cold easily.  Maybe I just love coats.  I think it's a little of both.  Either way, I love the holiday season because you get to bundle up in your favorite outerwear.  Of course, I love a great ruffled peacoat so I couldn't wait to get this one out of my closet :)  

Across the Universe

When I received this galaxy skirt in the mail I was both perplexed and excited.  Jessica of Midwest Muse did such a fantastic job styling this skirt on her own that I seriously couldn't think of anything different that would look remotely as good.  So instead of trying to mess with perfection, I just had some fun and added anything I owned that was spiky.  

My Engagement Story

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who expressed their congratulations and well wishes.  I'm really excited and I can't wait until April (or May) when I become a married woman!  Many of you are asking for my engagement story so I'll give you a rundown after the jump :)

Into the Sea

This past weekend was quite busy.  I visited my grandpa in the hospital, went to a great dinner in Santa Monica with Kevin, and "crashed" his 10 year high school reunion.  While we didn't go to the same high school, we grew up in the same town so I wasn't among complete strangers.  Needless to say, it was interesting.  Mine is in a few months and I'm unsure if I even want to go...
