The Bluest Light

Hell Bunny Judy dress

For once it was cold enough to wear a coat!  I look forward to these days because they're so few and far between.  My coat selection is small and I think this one had been hidden away for years.  I love the pretty tiers on the bottom, I think it compliments the full skirt of this Hell Bunny dress quite well.

I also have to mention that some creepy farmer guy watched me take these pictures from his truck the entire time.  I was a little freaked out at first, but I just wanted to get the heck out of there with some decent pictures.  I'm still getting used to taking pictures in public.  People are always interested in watching some weird girl in heels with a baby and a tripod...

This is my last post of the year!  I feel like I always reflect on these last twelve months as I write the final one.  My life has been through a lot of change: having a baby, quitting my job in the medical field, becoming a stay at home mom, and then working part time at Unique Vintage.  I really love where my life is right now.  I get the best of both worlds; quality time with Bianca and a wonderful job with the greatest coworkers.  I feel like when I'm old I'll probably look at this time the fondest.  It's almost too good!

I hope you have a safe and wonderful New Year.  I'll be staying in and enjoying the festivities from home.  Bianca's first birthday party is in a few days and I'm going crazy trying to get a bunch of projects finished.  I'm not usually a DIY type of person but I feel like going all out for my little girl.  Let's hope I get it all done in time!

xoxo

  2. Considering a creepy man was staring at you the whole time, I'm quite amazed at how wonderful your photos are! It would have put me right off. You look gorgeous and I love red with cream. And if I can find a way to give you some of my coat days I will... Heh. Here's to a great 2015! CC x

  3. Ha ha. You were probably the brightest part of that old farmer's day. I tip my hat to you. I'd never have been able to continue with the shoot.

The dress is gorgeous and I hope you have a wonderful New Year's with your little family.

  4. So glad you are enjoying your life so fully and vitally. I do agree with Suzanne- you were probably just something different to see (not that many people do photoshoots) so it was a fun thing for the farmer to see. I've learned over time that most people just find the photoshooting stuff interesting as opposed to because they are creepy people.

    This coat is amazing!

  8. Happy birthday to little miss Bianca! I can't believe how fast she's growing up!!

Where were these pictures taken? The scenery is beautiful!! (Although the creepy farmer watching did not sound like it was fun at all...)

Hope you have a great time ringing in the new year with your boys and Bianca! Can't wait to see what 2015 holds for you!

  9. Love that dress by Hell Bunny! Happy new year!! I would love to take "outside public photos" of myself wearing my dresses/outfits, but I'm a bit self conscious and I don't have anyone to take photos of me! Your photos are awesome though! xo

  11. I'm so happy your 2014 was great and I hope 2015 is even better! This is such a great outfit to finish up the year. This dress looks amazing on you and I'm loving your classic coat with it too. I feel you with being happy when you can wear your winter coats.

Also ew at the creepy dude staring at you while taking pictures. I definitely would've been freaked out. Luckily you got some great shots!

    Happy New Year!!

  12. Beautiful dress and what a darling coat! I love the tier detail around the bottom, it does make it special.

And, oooh! Creepy guys! I so get you ~ why is it that they feel the need to sit/stand and watch you for the entirety of an outfit shoot? Does it really take them *that* long to figure out what you are doing, or is it really *that* interesting to watch you run back and forth to your camera twenty or so times, and then stand and pose in front of it for that many times or more??

I can't understand it at all... But kudos to you for going through with it anyway! I've had to do that myself, and yah... It feels really weird....
