Red Rhapsody

Unique Vintage Red Rhapsody dress

This is, by far, my favorite Unique Vintage purchase.  The day this dress showed up in store I knew I wanted to wear it for my Christmas card photos.  I love the sweetheart neckline, the off the shoulder sleeves, and the built in crinoline.  While I don't mind wearing a crinoline under most of my dresses, I find it especially convenient when I don't have to layer up.  It's the perfect addition to my closet and I've already worn it multiple times.  It also comes in navy and I had a serious conversation with my impulsive side to stop myself from buying that one too.  I'm just that type of person, if I like the fit of something I must have it in every color!

I don't usually wear statement necklaces but I've been pretty gutted since Bianca broke my "B" necklace.  It cost like twenty dollars and the local jewelry store wanted to charge me fifteen to fix it.  I decided I'll just wait and get a really nice one (maybe gold?) for the future.  This Touchstone Crystal necklace isn't for everyday wear, but it's such a showstopper when I do wear it!  I'm a sucker for anything that's super sparkly and I love how it matches the style of my wedding ring.

A few days ago my sister and I cleaned out my storage unit.  Since I've lived in a home (with a large garage) for over a year now, it was about time I got rid of it.  You couldn't even imagine the things I found!  Lots of old pictures, my yearbooks, old notes from high school, and tons of clothes.  My favorite piece was my mother's prom dress, which had been perfectly preserved for my wearing pleasure.  I think I'm going to save it for a date night or maybe even my upcoming birthday dinner.  I had completely forgotten about it so it feels like the surprise of a lifetime!
