I always feel guilty when we have a perfectly beautiful day and I don't go out to enjoy it. These pictures almost never happened. I had been out running errands all week and this was my only day to relax. I figured I could go to a local hiking trail and take Bianca out while also getting some pictures for this post. It worked out great, but people were looking at me kind of funny. I guess I was overdressed to scale the mountain!

Dress- Modcloth
Cardigan- Sidecca
Shoes- H&M
Belt- Forever 21
I know it sounds stupid, but Kevin gets excited when I wear something that shows a little knee. I'm much more comfortable with longer lengths but this dress is an exception. The back is a little scandalous with a cutout in the back (aka you can't wear a bra) but a cardigan covered that up quick! I think maybe in my twenties and pre baby I could pull off the backless cut. These days the girls need some support!
Tomorrow I'm getting all dressed up to go out with Kevin. I've been planning this outfit for months! I hope I remember to take some pictures. It's events like these where I'm just having too much fun to be bothered with pulling out my camera. I hope at least one of us gets a shot, I'd love to post it for you guys!

P.S. I added more things to my shop! Check it out HERE!
I always really like you in shorter styles too - although I probably don't get as excited about it as Kevin does ;) this dress is really cute - although agree with you, backless isn't an option. Mind you, I don't think it ever has been - it feels so insecure!! CC x

Oh my goodness, your HAIR. I had a break from blog reading, and... I adore your haircolor now! It's gorgeous! Haha, and I totally overdress for quite a few things in my life, so I'd be right there with you. You look so pretty in this! (Oh, the things we could pull off pre-baby...)
ReplyDeleteI hope we do get to see what you wear tomorrow!

Oh, we're the quite the opposite. I'm not that tall, that's why I prefer wearing dresses like this that's a bit above the knee to keep me from looking too small LOL. We still have the same preference for a dress tho!

I think it can be fun to see you mix it up with over the knee and midi lengths both! I think it is so fun you are trying to get out more when it comes to photo backdrops.

That dress is gorgeous on you! But hear you, I prefer my knees covered. :)
ReplyDeleteYou have some really fab gams, I'm not surprised your husband likes it when you show a little leg! I love the feather print on this dress, and the fit is really smashing on you. Another killer look, as always.
ReplyDeleteI love this print- you have the best collection of dresses that match your hair :) I hope you snapped pics of your night out- can't wait to see!
