Makeup Review: Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner Pen

I'm going to let you in on a secret: I suck at doing my eyeliner!  I can never get a nice thin line with a pencil and liquid liner is way too messy and takes forever to dry.  I've always wanted to master a great lined lid but after fourteen years of wearing makeup I had pretty much given up hope.  That is, until now...

While shopping in Sephora for a new lip gloss (you can see that post here) I stumbled on a display for eyeliner pens.  It looks very much like a really thin sharpie.  I was definitely intrigued and decided on the cheapest one they displayed: the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner.

Let me just tell you, I love this pen!  Unlike regular liquid liners, this pen glides on with no mess.  No clumps and no waiting for the liner to dry.  I'm pretty sure this is the best sixteen dollars I've ever spent.  I was able to get the prefect thin line and I can accomplish this in less than a few minutes.  I don't think I could ask for more!

What's your favorite liner?  Do you prefer liquid or pencil?  Let me know in the comments below!

xoxo

  1. I love using eye lines. It depends..If I'm going to use it on under my eye, it's going to be pencil but if i'm going to use it on the top of my eye..well liquid.

  6. First of all, i cannot get over your hair and how much I love it! Next, that is such a pretty eyeliner. I use gel liner with an angle brush from MAC, I think it glides one easily and stays put pretty well! I have a pen liner as well for smaller details!

  7. That's a really cool product. I need a new eye liner for the top lid, so I might just have to check that out.

I typically use liquid on the top eye lid and pencil on the bottom, but sometimes it can just turn into a huge disaster!

  14. I love liquid liners, pens are awesome for precision but I find mine have the tendency to dry out really quick. Could be because it's so dry here maybe
I looove your floral crown btw

  15. That is a cute flower crown :O That liner sounds awesome! Hate those messy drippy liquid kind. I was a huge fan of those felt tip liners until I came across gel liner. So perfect for super oily lids haha.

  16. I suck at doing my eyeliner too! (Especially since one eye is bigger than the other and I didn't even notice until I started blogging haha...) These pens look really cool and so much easier to use. Love it! Thanks for this review:)

  18. I usually use a pencil to draw on as a guide and then liner over the top. I'm terrible at eyeliner but a guide always helps.

  20. Ooh I have to check this out! I normally use pencil eyeliner since I also find it hard to get the line straight with liquid liner. PS I'm loving your cute manicure!

  21. I am loving this little tutorial, I really want to try this eyeliner out sometime! I do a pretty thick line so it doesn't matter that I get a little messy (haha!) but I really want to try a more natural look sometime so thanks for the tips! And I usually use liquid liner.

The new liner looks great on you :). I love liquid but I don't want a line that's too thick..But yeah, liquid because then I can attempt the whole "cat eye" look. meow :3

  25. I could gush about your hair ALL DAY LONG. The colour is just so perfect!!

Back to the topic if eyeliners, I just switched to liquid last year and love it. Similar to you, I have a bit of a heavy hand when it comes to lining, so this recommendation is awesome!

  26. Hmmmm I may I have to try this. I definitely prefer liquid and had a holy grail one but it ran out and for some reason I can't find it ANYWHERE. The ones I've bought since just aren't cutting it.

  31. this looks great and I know what you mean it takes me forever to get my eyeliner right. I wear pencil, gel and liquid depending on the day and how quickly I need to get out of the house. Not wearing any today oh well. By the way you look stunning!
