I wasn't lying when I told you I would style my wedding dress for everyday wear by the end of the month! So naturally, I waited until the last day to do it. When I decided to wear a short wedding dress, I knew I wanted to buy something that could be worn more than once. I've heard so many stories of women who wear their dress once, get it cleaned and put in a pretty box so it never sees the light of day again. That's just not me! Luckily, Ruche had the perfect dress that I could wear to the courthouse and beyond :)
I thought wearing a bright colored belt and printed flats would be a great way to dress the lace down. The fact that I'm not wearing a massive petticoat underneath really helps differentiate my wedding look from my everyday look too. What do you think? If you'd like to see how I wore this dress to my wedding, click HERE.
Today also marks the two year anniversary of little Paczki's arrival. I can't believe it's been two years since we adopted our little blue chihuahua! He and Tommy are the lights of our life and I seriously couldn't imagine us without them. There sure would be a lot less cuteness in the house!
I think it's so fun that you styled the dress for everyday! The lace is gorgeous. I'm hoping to cut my wedding dress into cocktail length so I can re-wear it.
I think it's such a great idea to get a wedding dress that can be appropriate for everyday! That's why I want a cute white lacy cocktail dress for when I eventually get married :) I love the way you styled it too with the blue striped flats and yellow belt, it compliments the pretty lace.
This dress is perfect. I can't believe how different it looks from your wedding to real life. It was a seriously wonderful choice. I've never understood the expensive/never worn again dresses. (Same for bridesmaids -- you should see the HIDEOUS thing I have hangin' in my parents closet from a wedding. NO NO NO.) Also adorable shoes and I love the change of scenery!
I am loving that you're wearing your wedding dress for a more casual look. Such a beautiful dress and it's awesome that you can dress it up and down. Love the bright belt and those flats Puppies are the light of everyones lives, they are the best :) xJennaD
I love that you wore your wedding dress again! You look fantastic and I love the little yellow belt that you added! The flats are adorable too! I am liking this post on bloglovin! :) Perfection!
I love it! The dress is absolutely beautiful. It looks so light and comfortable. Just seems kind of soft and summery. I bet it would look good with bright coloured petticoats or shift under it as well.
Oh my goodness, this looks like a completely different dress! This was so smart of you, I never understand how women can spend thousands of dollars on a dress to wear once. It's the same reason why I don't spend money on Halloween costumes and why I insisted on getting on $40 vintage dress for the one prom I went to. This dress is just so darling and the bright accessories make it look perfect for everyday wear! Great job remixing this, Ashley!
GORGEOUS!! I absolutely LOVE the intricate lace design on your dress. The fact that you went with a more casual dress for your wedding is awesome too. Look at how versatile it is! Definitely a dress to remember and one that you'll get a lot of wear out of.
I would hate to wear any item of clothing just once, especially if you pay a hefty chunk of money for it! Your dress is gorgeous and I love how you styled it too. P.S.: Dogs rule!! I can't imagine my life without mine, period.
ooo I love it! Your dress is seriously so pretty! Its so fun that you can rewear it and I love those striped flats so much! Darling. -Jessi haircutandgeneralattitude.blogspot.com

i wore that exact dress at my wedding this past October! i paired it with a white lace slip, cowboy boots (we got married on a ranch) and a mustard cardi when it got cold! so fun! i love this dress so much and bought it thinking i would do the same! i plan to pair it with some cute flats too...congrats on your wedding! xoxo Jess fancytreats.blogspot.com
Oh it's so much different without the petticoat. Still gorgeous of course! This style is so up my alley...I actually have creme colored dress like this that I wore over the weekend :)
If one is to wear their wedding dress more than once, as it SHOULD be worn, You are amazing in doing so! I wore mine twice and then donated it so it won't yellow in my closet or something and so someone else can put it to good use. +Victoria+
