Okay, so maybe I'm being a little silly in these photos but I was completely excited at how warm the weather was this day. While I love layering with cardigans and coats, I'd rather be in warm enough weather to not have to wear one. Can you blame me? This new skirt from August Wrinkle begs to be shown off! I love wearing blue and green together and any excuse to mix polka dots with a color blocked skirt is a win/win to me.
This is the weirdest thing but lately I've been wearing my hair straight. At first I thought it may have been laziness, but I think I'm genuinely starting to like my naturally straight hair. Don't get me wrong, I'll never love it more than a great curl! But you'll probably see a little more of the natural wave (or lack of it) on the blog.
Tomorrow is my husband's birthday party and I have yet to get a cake. I don't think I'll ever top last year's, I got him a Lakers cake with an edible picture of Pau Gasol on top. I'm not even going to try to one up myself here, plus I don't have the 80 dollars to even try! He's pretty big on fruit tarts and there's a Cuban bakery nearby who is pretty famous for their cakes. And pastries. And sandwiches. Pretty much it's the best restaurant ever and now I'm getting hungry just writing about it.
I must have missed this day in LA. I was out of town and came home to rainy and frigid temps (I'm a baby). I laugh at myself though, I want colder temps so I can wear more layers, but then when it's cold I want the sunshine back. :D
What a perfect color combo! You look so happy and chic in these photos. I love your cute wedges--I need to get some like yours since they're so much comfier that heels and add a touch of glam to any outfit. I was so excited to see your title because I loved that book as a kid (:
That is such a pretty colorblock skirt! I am jealous of your bare legs and your naturally straight hair. I have to blow dry and flat iron my hair to get it straight!
Oh great look, I love the happy bright colours! Cute polka dot top too, and your hair looks so pretty (if that's what it looks like naturally you're so lucky)!
Best wife ever - you get him a cake? I'm pretty sure we buy a game then go out to eat with our family (then again, our birthday is on the same day, so it's a little weird)
Your skrit is indeed SO cute. I love the colors - and the polka dot top is a perfect pair. I'm jealous that you don't need to bundle up n a scarf and coat like I have to all the time.
You wear bright colours oh so well!!! I love this colourblocked skirt, so perfect with the polka dots! That cake sounds incredible! I hope your husband enjoys his birthday party :) I've been wearing my hair straight lately too, mine used to be naturally wavy but now?Nothing! You look gorgeous either way :) xJennaD
I love your hair straight, it looks so pretty like that! And your outfit is the absolute cutest! I love the colors and the polka dot top is just darling!
I love your hair straight! It's so different, but it looks wonderful on you. I also really really like this outfit. So bright and summery. You sound like an awesome birthday party thrower. Pastries are really the best thing, ever. Hope you guys have a great night.
I love the skirt! Blue and green are so pretty together and that polka dot top is the perfect combo! That first pic is so cute :) I love it! Good luck with the Hubby's party! That restaraunt sure sounds good! My Hubby's birthday is tomorrow haha what a coincidence! -Jessi haircutandgeneralattitude.blogspot.com
I love the colorblocking on the skirt! It's so cute. I especially like how you paired it with that really cute top! Anyway, I think your hair looks great straight!
I love the color block skirt mixed with the polka dot top! It's very summery and cute. I used to always wear my hair straight back in the day because I had nasty wavy hair. But after I got pregnant, my hair turned straight and now I curl it all the time. LOL. I think if my hair was shorter, I'd wear it straight cause it just looks funky while it's long. :) Thanks for your comment on my posts! <3
I love how happy you look in the pictures. I love the bright cheeryness of them. The bakery sounds so good. I really like the idea of doing pastries instead of cake as a birthday dessert. Hope he loves it.
You're totally talking about Porto's right??! They have the best fruit tarts...and everything hahaha. Omg. Love your outfit as usual! The mix of polka dots and color block look great! Not something I'd have thought to put together myself.
