All Aboard

Pinup Girl Clothing Jenny skirt in Mary Blair Train Border print

Oh that southern California wind.  It really likes to mess with my outfit photos at times!  Normally it doesn't bother me that much, but my poor hat kept flying off.  Some days just aren't meant for hats but I was determined to make it work.  I actually found this location by accident last weekend and I really love it.  I'm a sucker for a nice view and I can't wait to take Bianca here for a walk.  I've learned she needs to burn a lot of energy these days, so finding new and interesting activities is a top priority at the moment.

Thanks to the ever so lovely Katie of Junebugs and Georgia Peaches, I've been pairing my black and white striped Jailbird top with all of my Jenny skirts.  You wouldn't think they'd work, but it looks great with all the skirts I have so far.  Since she considers gingham a solid, I'm going to go ahead and say I feel that way about stripes.  I'd wear them everyday if I could!
This Mary Blair train skirt was definitely the most popular of the collection and I can see why.  The print is just darling and the colors are so vibrant.  I own little to no yellow in my closet, but this skirt was a welcomed change.  I'm hoping to get lots of wear from it this summer.  I can see myself pairing it with lots of cute crop tops!

I spent most of yesterday trying to finish all the redecorating I've been doing in the guest bedroom/my dressing room.  Since I was given creative freedom in that space it's really become my most favorite room in the house.  Kevin and I ripped off the massive doors to my closet so now my dresses and shoes are on display.  It really opens up the small space and it makes me happy to see my wardrobe all at once.  I'm thinking of doing a room tour post next week so keep your eyes peeled!

  2. Stripes are definitely considered a solid! :D I love how bright that skirt is. It really pops!

The winds have been picking up the last few days. It's even knocked over some large plants. Everyone keeps saying there's going to be a storm here but it just doesn't happen haha

  6. Love mixing patterns! I have a black and white striped tee that I love to pair with my patterned skirts every now and then to mix it up. It's fun and it totally works! =)

  9. That skirt is so pretty! And I agree about stripes. They are a total neutral to me. Almost any black and white print is neutral (or navy and white) and I love pairing neutral prints with colorful ones! You look fantastic, and what an amazing view at that location!
