This is yet another case of multiple dress syndrome. I just did the count in my head and I own this Bernie Dexter Paris dress in four different prints. Like I've said in the past, the Paris cut is my favorite of all the Bernie dresses. The fit is wonderful, I love the shelf bust, and it comes with pockets. This dress also happens to be my very first cherry print piece. I love an abstract fruit print but sometimes you need to go with a classic. Hopefully I don't look like a crazy hoarder and you can see why I need it in so many fun prints!

Tomorrow is Derby Day and I'm really excited to dress up for it. I picked an entire outfit that compliments my style but also challenges my comfort zone. I'm hoping I'll be able to snap a few pictures because I really want to show it off! Kevin also got a new suit so I think we will be quite the dapper couple.
Speaking of Kevin, today is our five year dating anniversary! We don't actually celebrate this day since we've been married but I think five years is worth mentioning. For those who don't know, Kevin and I have known each other since we were teens and dated in our early twenties. Five years ago we gave our relationship another try (through long distance I might add) and we haven't looked back since. We've gone through so many changes since 2010 and I can't wait to see what the next five have in store for us!

I'm guilty of multiple dress syndrome! Nothing wrong with having the same style in multiple prints and/or colors ;-) Especially if the cut and style really works for you. I'm not that crazy about cherry print clothing because they can look cheesy or juvenile, but Bernie got this print right--sweet but sophisticated. Love this set of pictures, the vibrant blue of the sky is a nice contrast to the dress, especially since you paired it with shoes with blue.
ReplyDeleteHappy 5 Year Dating Anniversary!
I love this print! Very cute. Wish we got a better look at the shoes, because they seem awesome too!
ReplyDeleteLovely lighting in these photos! And what a fabulous dress, no wonder you have it in so many prints! x
ReplyDeleteOh my god, I'm so in love with this dress! I wish I could get Bernie Dexter's dresses in the UK without paying high import taxes. I'd fill my wardrobe with them otherwise!

I'm partial to cherry prints--but I really, really love those shoes!
ReplyDeleteI too am guilty of multiple dress syndrome (especially when it comes to sewing my own stuff!) I think once you fall in love with a cut the only logical thing to do is get it in all the colours/patterns :D This dress is also completely fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI love it! Your hair and dress and lipstick are spot on. You're killin' it girl. Geez, everytime!

I just purchased this dress and I love it. Do you wash it or do you stick to the dry clean only rule. I am just worried about the colors running. Thank you!
