Don't let the title fool you, my Saturday nights aren't much of an event these days. I still wake up at six in the morning and go to bed between ten and eleven at night. Really, the only difference is I see my husband all day and we usually do some sort of outing together. This past weekend was busier than most, almost to the point where it feels like you didn't have time to actually enjoy it. I really can't complain about having a social life as a parent, but I still feel like I could've benefited from a little extra couch time with Kevin :).
Dress- c/o Bernie Dexter
Petticoat- Sidecca
Shoes- UrbanOG
Flower crown- custom made by Hannah
Thanks to Bernie Dexter for sending me one of the most beautiful prints in my closet. When she sent me a couple of her dresses I had no idea what she was going to include. She truly nailed my style because every single one was perfect. I might play favorites with this particular one though, the color is so vibrant and the fit is perfection. Other than my poppy dress, this Bernie gets the most wear. I'm excited to remix this one in cooler weather. I believe both pastels and florals can be worn year round!
Speaking of Bernie Dexter, I just bought this winter inspired dress. My friend Helena (who also owns it) and I are planning to dress Bianca up as a snowflake and have a little photo shoot. It probably won't be for awhile, which is wonderful because I can't find a snowflake costume anywhere! The closest I get is Elsa from Frozen, totally not what I'm going for. So if anyone has any ideas or websites I should check out, let me know in the comments!

Beautiful, the flower crown is the perfect topping to the dress! I can't wait to see how your snowflake shoot turns out either, good luck getting a costume x
ReplyDeleteSo so pretty, and I love Hannah's crown with it! The photoshoot with Helena will be amaaaazing. Maybe you could create your own costume for her with like, a blue or white little tutu kind of thing?

Seriously, that top photo is breathtaking! The composition combined with how it was edited made for a really fantastic photograph. And I really love this dress! The cut of it is darling, and I love how vibrant the print is!

Gorgeous! A perfect Ashley dress :) I know you've been losing weight, and it shows - your waist is teeny-tiny!
ReplyDeleteNice that you and Kevin are having fun on Saturdays together. I want to hang on to summer for as long as possible, but that Bianca snowflake photo shoot is going to be too adorable!

This dress is beautiful. I love that the colors are unexpected together, but somehow work.
ReplyDeleteI am dying over your "winter" shoot idea. Have you looked on Etsy or found a local crafter/sewer? Bianca is small enough that I feel like it would be super easy to create.
What a gorgeous floral dress, you look lovely in the blue!
ReplyDeleteEeep! That dress and flower crown are so pretty! You look like a lovely flower fairy!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Xo

Something About That
Aw dressing Bianca as a snowflake would be so cute for a Christmas card. But I think that it would fun to make one. You might be able to find a nice DIY in Pinterest. Or you could wait until the Halloween season and see if there are any then? Anyway, this dress is just so pretty on you! The flower crown goes perfectly too. I just made a couple and I want to wear them but I have no clue where?

You always look so enchanting! And whether you've got laid back or crazy plans, dressing this lovely is a delight.
ReplyDeleteI get up at weekends about 7 and am in bed around 11 - but I'm not a parent so what's my excuse?! I don't think you see the best of the day unless you're awake for the daylight hours, but maybe that's just me... Anyway, beautiful dress as always - the fit is indeed perfection! Looking forward to seeing a winter remix, am in total agreement that 'summer' fabrics can be dressed for colder weather :) x
ReplyDeleteFor a snowflake costume, I'd just go all white and glittery, and then maybe make a crown with snowflake-esque points on it. And a white crinoline poking out because those things often look like foam. That's if I was doing an interpretation of a snowflake. It sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteYou're looking so awesome as usual.....love the flower crown and your quirky hair color!!!!

I know what you mean- sometimes I feel like I just want couch time with Brian even when I'm out doing something really fun :) I think this is the prettiest flower crown I've seen and it's so perfectly suited for you. She really did pick the perfect dresses for you!
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful print! Your flower crown goes perfectly with that dress. Bernie dresses are super flattering on you, I can see why you love them! And the winter shoot sounds so cool, I can't wait to see Bianca dressed in a snowflake! :)

Sophisticated In Style
This dress is amazing, totally fits your style. I agree bright colors and florals are any time of the year thing! :) Also I know exactly the winter dress you are talking about. I saw it recently on ebay and really should have went for it because I can't afford the dress from her site. But I am still going to keep my eyes peeled for it in the future because it is so darn cute.
