Pink Cupcake

polkadot

I don't know if you can tell by this picture, but I'm pretty fond of polka dots :).  This dress was a birthday gift from Kevin.  I sent him a copy of my Modcloth wishlist, and out of the 50-something items on my list, this was his favorite.  I love the color, it reminds me of cupcakes for some reason.  And since Kevin and I are trying to tone up during the holidays, cupcakes are out of the question.  I'd rather look like one than eat one anyway!

Thankfully, I have tomorrow off.  It's not actually a holiday, but according to my family it is.  We celebrate Christmas the night before and stay up until midnight to celebrate the holiday.  It's much like New Year's Eve except you get to open presents at midnight.  I can't imagine doing it any other way!  Do you have any holiday traditions?

xoxo

  2. I'd rather look like a cupcake than eat one too (I know they are now fashionable etc. but I work in an elementary so they've never outgrown the class-birthday-treat vibe to me, taste-wise). You look adorable! I love the vibrant color and it is clear from the smile on your face that you love this too!

What a neat holiday tradition :)

  3. I love mixing polka dots together, it always looks so darling. I love that your man picked this out for you- he did a great job! My husband always surprises me with which items he says he likes in my closet, they're always the opposite of what I think he'll like, haha. My in laws do Christmas Eve as well, which is different for my family who are definite Christmas morning people!

  4. My family has our big dinner celebration on Christmas Eve too. When we were younger we would open 1 present at midnight and get up the next morning have our traditional Christmas breakfast and open the rest. Enjoy your Christmas Eve Ashley!

Your outfit is beyond adorable here. I love the little bow and all the polka dots and of course the fact that it does remind me of a pink cupcake :)
