Princess of the Forest

Lil' Lou Lou Jivin' Skirt in Princess of the Forest Gianna Dress in Princess of the Forest

I had such mixed feelings while composing this new Mommy and Me post.  Happiness because I love getting pictures of us together but sadness because I realize she's getting so big now.  Where the heck does the time go?!  We were both really excited to feature these new matching pieces from Lil' Lou Lou.  This forest critter print pleases both the animal and novelty print lover in the both of us.  We wore them together this past weekend and recieved endless compliments from strangers.  I think it was a sign that we need to match our outfits more often!

The Jivin' skirt is a classic vintage-inspired skirt made from 100% cotton.  It features a wide waistband with belt loops, a very full gathered skirt, deep side pockets, and finished with a side zip and double button closure.  I'm truly between an XS and S in the Jivin' skirt, but I size up and belt it for a better fit.  I'm planning on moving the buttons for that tailor-made fit, but I have a huge pile of minor alterations that I rarely get the chance to tend to.  Thanks to the belt, I can actually wear this skirt while I find the time to adjust the buttons!

Bianca is wearing the Gianna dress, which features ruffle sleeves, a waist tie, full gathered skirt, and a button down closure in the back.  The sash is meant to tie in the front, but I tied it in the back so Bianca wouldn't mess with it.  She loves wearing this dress so much, it's perfect for the hot summer ahead!

I've been feeling the itch for another hair change.  While I won't be changing the color, I really want to go back to bangs.  I feel like I'm constantly growing them out but I miss them terribly!  Have you ever tried the clip-in bangs?  Are they worth the cost?  Let me know what you think if you've ever ordered them!

xoxo
