Changes

Pinup Girl Clothing Doris skirt in parrot print

This is my very first Doris skirt.  I've usually passed right by them, only because I love the fullness of the Jenny so much.  Since I've been doing my best to work outside of my comfort zone, I took the plunge and purchased this skirt.  The print is so cute and summery, and I'm actually surprised I like this a-line silhouette so much.  Unlike the Jenny, I can wear this skirt without a petticoat or an underskirt which makes it incredibly comfortable.  We'll see if I make any more Doris skirt purchases, but I'll definitely be wearing this one on the regular!

Today my friend is coming to visit from Colorado.  We've been friends since the sixth grade and she's pregnant with her first baby.  I can't even explain how excited I am for her and her husband!  Not going to lie, I'm also excited to have lunch with her because I won't be so embarrassed about how much I can actually eat in one sitting.  It's a gift, but not one that many can appreciate!

I'm currently fading my purple hair to bring in a new color.  While I love the purple, I think it's time for a change.  My hair color looks okay here, but it's currently extremely faded and gross.  I can't wait to pump in some new color tomorrow!  Stay tuned for the final result...

  1. Doris skirt really suits you! The print is fun, definitely fit for summer. Some days you just need a more casual skirt and not fussing with a petticoat. Can't wait to see your new hair color :-)

  2. This skirt shape is really pretty. Honestly, it still looks like a circle skirt, just not as full/gathered as the Jenny Skirt. Is it?

Can't wait to see your new hair color too.

  3. I looove this outfit. I never really liked this print until now. And I love this light lavender/gray hair on you, but I can't wait to see the final result ;)

  4. Love every single thing about this look from skirt to brooch to makeup and shoes. Wish I could get my lavender hair to look like that- after much hard work I had to give it up since it fades in a couple days and turns teal!

  5. That is exactly why I love going out to eat with my best friend. When my fiance and I go to a buffet, he only eats one plate of food. One plate of food.

  6. That print is so striking! I remember seeing the design last summer, and although I've never been quite so crazy about PUG as some other vintage loving girls are, that tropical/Hawaiian line really tempted me. The a-line silhouette really flatters you, and I love how you've styled it with the black and yellow. You look so fab!
