Raining Cats

Voodoo Vixen Katnis dress

Yes, sometimes dreams do come true!  That's how I feel about this dress.  I had been eying this Voodoo Vixen perfection for months but it was sold out on their website.  Because I'm a crazy impulsive person, I scoured the internet to find a website that carried it.  After a couple of hours of work (it really was difficult to find) I found it at a UK boutique.  The shipping was quick and it came with more than enough time to wear at Bianca's birthday party.  The good news is I've been in contact with Voodoo Vixen and they're going to be restocked very soon.  I feel like everyone should own this dress, it's absolute purrrfection (I also hate that I just did that).

Being a mom is hard sometimes.  I had high hopes to take these pictures right at sunset.  I happened to get to this gorgeous location a little early, so I set up and planned to wait it out.  Bianca was fast asleep in her car seat so I had a few zen moments alone while watching the sun go down.  Of course, Bianca woke up early and screaming so I just went for it with the sun shining.  I'm a little disappointed, but that's just the way my life is now.  I wish I had explored more photo locations and learned more about my camera before I became a mom.  I guess that's why hindsight is 20/20, right?

xoxo

  2. I think the light still really works. Gives you a bit of a halo effect. And I was thinking when seeing the birthday photos how much I liked you in this dress. Very pretty.

  6. These photos are beautiful, so I don't think you have to regret not being able to take them right at sunset! This dress is awesome on you. And is this a wet set hair day?? It looks really good and I'd love to learn how to master that... but with my luck, it'll take me years...

  9. I think the lighting is simply lovely, so even if it didn't work out quite the way you were thinking of, it's still a great set of photos.

Sometimes it is so difficult finding time to do blogging with little ones, I feel your pain. So congratulations on all the good work you do achieve! :D ❤
