Okay... so maybe it's not morning.  It was almost dark and my photographer got home later than usual :).  Either way, sometimes I think it's pretty cool to shoot at night.  You may not get as many good shots, but it looks nice.

I'm a big fan of mixing patterns, so I have no problems wearing my striped blazer with a polka dot top.  Not sure if you noticed but my tights are leopard print too.  You get a hint of another pattern without being overwhelming.  Add some textured pumps and you're set!

I'm having some company over tonight, I'm excited to see a very dear friend.  Not so excited to cut this post short and start cleaning my place though!

I think I go through stages when it comes to jewelry.  Sometimes I like to go overboard and accessorize, other times I like to let my clothing make the statement.  Today I guess I felt like going jewelry crazy!  I think pearls are very classic and feminine.  I love to add them to an already girly outfit, much like this dress.  Zara really knows my style, so the minute I saw the lace hemline I knew I had to get it!

I can't end this post without talking about my vintage beaded clutch.  It's so pretty and delicate, it's probably why I never let it out of my closet :).  Hope you're having a great week!

My Current Inspiration

One of the best things about being a fashion blogger is meeting other fashion bloggers.  Fashion is a way to express yourself and it's always interesting to see how others do it.  Mary over at Fashion Birds is my current inspiration.  I love how she dresses so effortlessly and structured at the same time.  She's amazing!  Here are some of my favorites:

Parisian Dream

I feel like I haven't had an outfit blog in forever!  I own about 30 hats total and I probably wear one every couple of months.  I guess southern California weather doesn't really accommodate to keeping warm so I usually forget about them.  This particular hat was gifted to me by a friend who was visiting Paris.  He asked me what I wanted, and he delivered: a real Parisian beret!

I consider this dress one of my favorite vintage finds... It's just a shame that my boyfriend doesn't feel the same way.  I think it's cute!  I also think it works quite well with my beret.  Since I have a lot of patterns going on, I decided to not complicate it further with jewelry.

Being Impulsive
