Butterfly

 

Happy spring to you all! I've been doing my fair share of hibernating here at home and this Unique Vintage dress inspired me to get out and enjoy the warmer weather. The butterfly print was perfect for this location: just to the left of me was a butterfly garden! As a responsible photographer and a lover of all living things, I opted not to photograph my outfit near those beautiful creatures to avoid disturbing them. I prefer to show my love for the butterfly through this gorgeous dress.

While this may seem like a simple sundress, there are so many small details to it. This piece features a self tied keyhole neckline, flutter sleeves, low scoop back with attached tie, deep side pockets and a back zippered closure. I tend to fluctuate between a size small and medium in Unique Vintage house brand clothing so I bargained and took a medium for my bust. To be honest, I wish I had picked a size small. Because of the low back I feel like I would have more proper support in the bodice with my smaller size. I love this silhouette but an additional drawback is having to wear a backless longline bra (which can be super annoying if worn for a long period of time). Overall, this dress is absolutely gorgeous but if I order it in another print I would definitely take my smaller size. This dress is available in sizes XS-5X and is offered in two other prints if butterflies aren't your thing.
