May the Fourth Be With You

Happy Star Wars Day!  I've been waiting for this exact date to show off this custom two-piece commission from my favorite seamstress/business owner, Vintage Inspired by Jackie.  While I have a bunch of Jackie's creations in my closet, this is by far my favorite outfit.  We all know The Empire Strikes Back is the best episode so I enjoy nothing more than incorporating it into my wardrobe.  Since I chose a two piece for this vintage bed sheet print, I get so much wear from it.  The styling options are infinite!

Made from vintage cotton bed sheets, Jackie crafted this 1950's style blouse and matching swing skirt.  The blouse features a button down detail, pointed collar, generous sleeves, and an exposed front pocket.  The skirt is full and gathered with a side zip and top button closure.  She initially crafted this design a few years ago for another client with Mario Bros. fabric, but I begged her to bring it back for my Star Wars set.  As always, she was happy to oblige! The top is long enough to wear tucked in, but I decided to tie it into a crop due to the warmer weather.  I also like to break up the set and wear the top with jeans or the skirt with a solid top, but I truly love these pieces together.  I know The Last Jedi isn't coming out until the end of the year, but I have a feeling this is going to be my outfit for opening night!

Today my friends, Bianca, and I are celebrating Star Wars Day at Disneyland.  We're going to meet with Darth Vader, Chewbacca, and Boba Fett (my favorite) and visit our favorite attraction: Star Tours.  If you'd like to keep up on our galactic adventures, make sure to follow my Instagram to a peek into our fun-filled day!
