In theory, Valentine's Day is a cute idea. It's a reminder to cherish the one you're with. Kevin and I have never really celebrated this "holiday" for many reasons. I think we both find it kind of dumb, plus his birthday is just four days after and our anniversary is on the first. It's just a lot of celebrations at once. That doesn't mean I don't like to dress the part! I picked up this dress at work because I love the cut and the tulle overlay. It comes in several colors but this burgundy version is my favorite.

It has been incredibly windy all week. I think high winds are pretty much the worst when it comes to photographing clothing. I was getting a little frustrated because every other shot was either my skirt blowing up or my hair in my face. I think that's what I get for no longer having a backlog of outfit photos to use in a pinch. Those truly were the days...
I hope you ladies have a wonderful Galentine's Day! I'll be spending the day at the park with Bianca and maybe we'll grab a little lunch together. It's also my (not so) little brother's birthday. February is always jam packed with reasons to celebrate with loved ones!

Wow you look stunning in this! I actually think the wind blowing makes it look even better.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

This dress is absolutely stunning - I love the 'sleeves' and the colour is beautiful. You look so gorgeous <3 I completely agree with your feelings about Valentines Day - it seems a bit weird to me to go out of my way to do couply things, when really I try to do that stuff all the time because I enjoy it and can, having no children! ReplyDeleteI always liked Valentines, but I think because the focus wasn't on just romantic love, to me. My dad always did something to make "his girls" (my sister, mother and I) feel special and I liked the excuse in high school to get girl friends together to watch chick flicks. But I totally get the "that's a lot of celebrations" feeling! Personally, i'm just excited about a long weekend thanks for Presidents' Day.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is one of the most dreamy I've ever seen!
lovely! :)

Love the two-tone color!

The thing I find super frustrating about wind is how it messes up my hair, what I do love is how it makes the clothes come to life, and wow! Does your dress ever look amazing! It was so worth the wind I hope, because I think the photos are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI adore the tulle over lay, and the style of the bodice and sleeves; a perfectly romantic dress. ❤

What a beautiful dress! You look absolutely stunning, as usual! I do celebrate Valentine's day with my husband, but it's really just an excuse to dress up, get a present and have nice dinner actually :p (not that we need any)
ReplyDeleteI love this dress!! Looks amazing on you <3
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this. I always liked putting red with my hair when it was bright lilac. I love hearts and red and pink, but am not a V day fan. I've always been single on it, but I just don't like the idea of being 'forced' into being romantic on that one day!
ReplyDeleteWow that dress looks awesome on you!!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap this dress is gorgeous! I love how the red mesh is layered over that cream color. It just has such a neat effect. This color looks wonderful with your vibrant purple hair too! Gorgeous!
