So Real

I can't tell you how excited I was to get my new dress from Odd & Dot.  Basically Odd & Dot is composed of two super sweet girls from Indonesia who have the greatest thrifted finds and sell them on their Etsy store.  This dress is absolutely perfect!  I love the print and the pleated skirt is perfect for twirling around.  I'll admit, I do it all the time :)

Shoes- Qupid
Bag- Ruche
Necklace- Urban OG
Ring- Forever 21
Bracelet- Forever 21

This week has been so stressful.  I'm not one to divulge much personal information on my blog, but I think I've been through enough to talk about it.  My grandpa had open heart surgery on Tuesday.  The surgery went well, but he ended up having a stroke a few hours later in the ICU.  I've been pretty blessed when I say that almost all of my closest family members are alive.  I've never dealt with anyone being sick or even close to it.  So seeing my grandfather in so much pain and confusion was almost more than I could handle.

I can report that my grandpa is doing really well and he is now breathing, eating, and sitting up on his own.  I feel like I can relax a little and enjoy this weekend ahead.  I guess sometimes you're confronted with scary situations to really understand how precious and lovely life really is.  So enjoy it people!  I know I will <3

xoxo

  4. Dear lord! I am so glad to read he's fine. My grandma had the exact same a few years ago and I can still hear the silence of my family waiting for good news. It's the worst silence there is... I'll be praying for a fast recovery!
On a different note: that dress is gorgeous and you styled it to perfection!

  8. What a beautiful dress on you!! That is great news about your grandfather. I was wondering if you've been told by people that you look a little like Emily Blunt! Probably you have heard that though.

  22. This is adorable! It's so vintage-y and girly. Love it.

I wish your grandfather a speedy recovery as well. I know how you feel. My grandpa had a pacemaker put in some years ago, and he's been suffering from dementia for a while now. I'm very close to my grandpa so it's been a very difficult experience. Glad to hear yours is doing better.

    1. Also, I'm so in love with your blog's design! Who did it? I'm looking for a designer for my blog. I've been on my own(except for my header) since I started it in July.
