Current Loves: My Halloween Wish List

It's been some time but Halloween season has me excited and I want to share my favorite things with you!  Whether you're looking to add some fun new things to your wardrobe or you're looking to spruce up your home with ghoulish decor, I have a great list to get you into the spooky spirit.  Check out my current loves below!

Spooky Decor

If you're looking for something handmade, Etsy is the place to go!  I'm always looking for something new for my "spooky room" in my home and I absolutely need every single one of these amazing goodies.  I actually ordered this candle a few weeks ago and I love it.  In addition to finding one-of-a-kind trinkets, you're also supporting a small business in a trying time.  This is only a small taste of the lovely things I found, you can go down the rabbit hole yourself (if you dare)!

Halloween at Modcloth

As I'm sure you already know, Modcloth is one of my favorite places to find Halloween stuff.  Their clothing is gorgeous and they also carry home goods, like this spooky cookbook.  I need all the novelty prints and frightful treats to get me through a quarantine Halloween!

Creature Gear

Have a Creature obsession like me?  Luckily, there are a bunch of handmade goods on Etsy to keep a monster girl happy!  Seriously though, look at that crochet cutie.  I need him!  I'm also keen on adding more creature artwork to my home.  You can find these and lots of other Universal Monsters inspired art and decor on Etsy.  When I say it's like going down a rabbit hole, I mean it!

Unique Vintage

I've spent a lot of time here talking about my love for the Unique Vintage Halloween collection this year.  They add more spooky stuff to their already massive collection every week, so I keep adding to that wishlist!  I have a mighty need for that pumpkin cardigan, if the summer weather ever decides to leave...

Pottery Barn

I don't think there's anything in the world that makes me feel more "adult" than having nice cookware/bakeware/decor.  Pottery Barn is like candy for my eyes and they really knocked it out of the park with their Halloween collection this year.  I know this stuff is supposed to be seasonal but you know I'd be using every single one of these things all year!

What are you shopping for this season?  Has the Halloween bug bit you yet?  Let me know in the comments below!

Erstwilder x Kitschy Witch Designs

Erstwilder x Kitschy Witch Designs Cursed Cuppa Brooch

When I first found out that two of my favorite companies, Erstwilder and Kitschy Witch Designs, were collaborating on a collection... I squealed with delight!  As someone who has been an avid fan of both of these small businesses for years, this was an absolute dream.  Stephanie's artwork is plastered all over my walls and my clothing and now I get to wear her art in jewelry form!  This Halloween collection is quite large: twenty brooches, three pairs of earrings, and one necklace.  Check out just a couple of pieces I snagged below!

How happy does this little nugget look?  I think he's just as excited for Halloween as I am!  Cat Charming is a sweet little feline portrait with sparkly purple accents and a classic orange color in the ears and mouth.  Did you notice his one tooth?  I think that's my favorite feature!

Erstwilder x Kitschy Witch Designs Cursed Cuppa Brooch

Care for a cursed cuppa?  This double brooch is so beautiful and detailed, it might just be my favorite!  Both the teapot and cup have purple, orange, and black colors and are finished with an adorable owl, moon, and star motif.  They look so cute together but can easily we worn apart for more styling options.

You can purchase this collection on the Erstwilder and Kitschy Witch Designs sites right now!  This range has been a huge hit online so I'd start shopping ASAP.  If you're US based, I'd recommend Kitschy Witch since the shipping will be faster.  I purchased a bunch of cuties from this collection through Stephanie's site and I can't wait to get mine!  Erstwilder also has a list of stockists all over the world, so if you've already missed out on your most coveted pieces, check out their Stockists page to find them through other small businesses.  Which pieces are your favorites?  Let me know in the comments below!

Beetlejuice

Unique Vintage Neon Green & Black Stripe Gracie Top

It's a wonderful thing when two loves come together and create something spectacular.  In this case, one of my favorite clothing companies and movies collaborated on a collection of ghoulish goodies.  Unique Vintage dropped their Beetlejuice line recently and I am obsessed!  If I wasn't already excited about their Halloween collection (I was), the addition of licensed Beetlejuice goodies made me lose my mind! My first piece from the collection was this purse and I decided to go with the color scheme and create this fun outfit.

I love all the color in the Beetlejuice film and was inspired by the bright green in his hair.  Thankfully, Unique Vintage has tons of great Halloween offerings in addition to their Beetlejuice collection.  This Gracie top is super soft, versatile, and matches perfectly with my bag.  I decided to size up to a medium in the top for extra bust room and I'm so glad I did.  I paired it with this super cute skull print suspender skirt but it also looks great paired with black jeans.  I've worn it so many times already and can't wait to get it in more colors!

I also have to mention that I'm super proud of my husband for taking this picture with me.  He's been super helpful while we've been in quarantine (especially when I need help taking pictures).  But let me tell you, he *hates* having his picture taken!  He had to indulge me though, he looks so good in this bat print button down.  I can't imagine having a partner who didn't share my love for all things creepy and spooky, I'm super thankful to have a fellow weirdo at my side!

You can find all these pieces on the Unique Vintage website and everything is offered in plus sizes too.  Make sure you check out their Halloween and Beetlejuice collections and I'll be back with some more Beetlejuice goodies soon.  Stay tuned!

Fatale

The Pretty Dress Company Fatale Bow Polka Dot Midi Dress

There are rare (if any) occasions to wear a gorgeous dress these days but let's be real: sometimes you just *need* to do it for yourself.  Getting dressed up immediately improves my mood and I was feeling really good in this Pretty Dress Company number.  I've sung my praises for this UK based company many times before and this blog is no different!  I just love a great, classic, vintage inspired dress and this polka dot Fatale ticks all those boxes.

The Fatale dress is made from a heavyweight stretch cotton fabric and features an off the shoulder neckline with bow details at the shoulder, fully lined boned bodice, super full circle skirt with large hidden side pockets, and a back zippered closure.  This style is one of my favorites, I actually own it in many different prints!  It also comes in a wiggle skirt version which I love as well.  I'm wearing my usual UK8, which is perfect in the bust and just a smidge large in the waist.  I make sure to belt the dress for the perfect fit.

You can find the Fatale in four different polka dot color ways for almost 50% off right now!  Processing and shipping is always super fast, which is amazing for an international company.  If you're looking for something different, The Pretty Dress Company is having a great sale on lots of different styles (which you can find HERE).

Are you a fan of The Pretty Dress Company?  What's your favorite style?  Let me know in the comments below!
