Harlow

Vintage Vandalizm Harlow Set in Blush

Beating that end-of-summer heat in this Harlow set from Vintage Vandalizm.  If you're not familiar with Vintage Vandalizm, you're probably well aware of the owner/designer, Jasmin Rodriguez.  Jasmin has been a long-time inspiration of mine (I've been following her blog before I even had one of my own) and over time has become a lovely friend.  She has been showcasing her amazing style for well over a decade and now she's offering her own line of gorgeous clothing!  I love how Jasmin has her own take on vintage style.  She doesn't box herself into a corner and often shows her love for all kinds of fashion through her personal style.  I'm super excited to talk about her Harlow set and let you know what I think!

The Harlow set is made of a light and comfortable satin fabric, which is perfect for the summer.  The top has the most romantic flowing sleeves with complete with pearl buttons on the cuffs.  There are shoulder pads but you could easily have them removed if a structured shoulder isn't your thing.  This is a traditional tie top, so you can tie it to your liking.  The pants are super wide leg with an elasticized back waistband for comfort and an invisible back zippered closure.

I took a size small in the Harlow and it was a perfect fit.  Thanks to the tie top and elasticized waistband in the pants, I didn't have much worries about this set fitting me correctly.  I have a very long torso, so there might be a little more skin showing in the midsection but that's definitely because of my frame.  I love the high rise of the pants, they truly are perfect!  While I wore both pieces together this time, I look forward to mixing and matching this set in the future.

The Harlow set is available in sizes S-XL, but will be expanding to plus sizes next season!  Consider shopping with and supporting Vintage Vandalizm, a small business owned by the sweetest woman of color.  You won't regret it!

xoxo
