Haunted House

Today is the day: Kitschy Witch Designs releases the brand new Rosaleen dress in the much anticipated Haunted House fabric!  Since this is a new style, I wanted to review this dress for you so you can get a good idea which size to order.  The release is at 12pm PST, so hopefully you see this beforehand.  I have a feeling this dress is going to sell like crazy!

The Rosaleen dress is made from a thick, slightly stretchy and high quality cotton sateen.  It has a nice weight and it holds its shape: no need for a petticoat here!  It features a sweetheart neckline with a fold over bust and knot tie at the center, thick straps, a *very* full gathered skirt with large hidden side pockets, and a side zippered closure.  I'll be honest: this dress is a dream!  I literally gasped the first time I put it on!  The straps are technically thick enough to cover bra straps, but I opted for a strapless (I'm a stickler for any kind of bra showing and didn't want to have to worry about it).  The straps are not adjustable, which can be troublesome for someone with a longer torso like myself, but I can comfortably wear this all day.  The Rosaleen is relatively wrinkle-free, I didn't even have to steam it out of the package.  And most of all, the print is everything I could ever want in a novelty fabric.  The cute haunted house riders compliment all the monsters perfectly and my favorite monster ever is on it: the creature!

Now let's talk about sizing!  I'm wearing a size small.  If you're familiar with Kitschy Witch sizing, I wear a size XS in the Spellbound skirt and a small in the Pixie dress (although that dress ran small and I definitely could have taken a medium).  This dress runs true to size, so I would absolutely get your usual dress size.  I feel like I could have taken an XS in the waist but I definitely needed the small for the bust.  I'm a usual size small in most clothing, and as a 34/25, the small is the perfect fit for me in the Rosaleen!

The Haunted House launch will not only include the Rosaleen dress, but there will also be a Spellbound skirt, scarf, clutch, makeup bag, and tote.  There will also be pins and cardigan clips too!  Make sure you get on the site as soon as it launches, otherwise those things you were too late to buy will haunt you!
