Monster Madness

Pinup Girl Clothing Darling Dames Skirt in Monster Print

I can't believe how much my skirt collection has grown in the past year.  I've been a dress only kind of girl for so long and I never thought I'd like anything more than just slipping one on and calling it an outfit.  I put a lot of style challenges on myself this year and I've found that I enjoy taking the time to create the outfit I want.  This monster print skirt has been on everyone's mind (and wish list) this summer and I can't wait to wear this out all year around!

The Darling Dames skirt is a new addition to the Pinup Girl family and I feel like it's going to be such a big hit!  It officially replaced the Kinky Box skirt, which also came in this print but featured a wide waistband and box pleats.  This skirt is much like the famed Jenny, with a thinner waistband and a full gathered skirt.  The difference between the Darling Dames and the Jenny?  This new design is a few inches shorter (for all you petite ladies) and has pockets, finally!  I didn't think I'd enjoy the shorter length, but it's barely noticeable.  The waistband doesn't have as much give as the Jenny skirts do, so if you're considering this skirt I would keep that in mind.  I also have this in the Fetish print, but it comes in lots of other fun prints for fall!

Today is Dapper Day at Disneyland but unfortunately I won't be there.  Pinup Girl will have a booth at the expo so make sure to stop by today or tomorrow for some PUG goodies!  I can't wait to see all the lovely Dapper Day outfits on my Instagram feed, I can live vicariously through all you stylish attendees :).

  1. Ah! Yes! I love the Jenny skirt but had to hem mine and really wished it had pockets! I am excited for this new and improved option! This whole outfit rocks - love the little tiny hat/fascinator that you paired with it! How adorably spooky!
