Grave Familiar

 

Am I the only one that thinks October has been passing too fast? I swear, I look forward to this season all year long and when it's finally here it feels like I almost miss it! One of the highlights this month was receiving this Grave Familiar dress from Lively Ghosts. They released their very first dress collection earlier this year and this piece was my favorite from the bunch! Perfect for a trip to the pumpkin patch or a stroll through the graveyard at sunset.

The Grave Familiar dress is made from 100% cotton and features a button down bodice, long sleeves, a below the knee skirt, and a side zippered closure. I'm wearing a size small (which is where I ended up on the size chart) and it fits everywhere but the bust. Unfortunately, the bust was a little too small but I sewed in some snaps between the buttons to make it fit. If it weren't sold out I would have sized up. While this dress and the rest of their 31 Collection has sizes available from S-3X, the sizing does run quite small in the plus range. The great thing about this small business is that they've heard the comments from their customers and will be adjusting and expanding their sizing on their next collection. It's important to support small businesses, especially when they actually care about their customers and their needs.
