Being at home all the time has its perks (mainly my dogs and my air conditioner) but a couple of times a week I need to just get out and recharge. I like to get dressed up and go to an open, socially distanced area and just enjoy the outdoors. I recently received this gorgeous sundress from Emmy Design and it sparked a fun Disneybound idea: a vintage inspired Jungle Cruise outfit! While I don't go on the ride every time I'm at the parks, I have vivid memories of the experience as a child and then taking Bianca on the cruise (before she was tall enough to go on the "big girl" rides). I feel like this would be a perfect summer Disneyland outfit and while I can't actually be there right now, I'm still going to enjoy it!

The Sea Breeze sundress is a crepe material (it feels like rayon) that features a button shoulder detail that allows you to adjust the length of the bodice. I'm quite long in the waist and I definitely did not need any more length but I appreciate the detail! The bodice has a flattering neckline, underbust gathers, and a v-shaped drop waist. The skirt is a flowy a-line with deep exposed side pockets and also features an attached waist tie. This is actually my very first Emmy dress and I was blown away with the quality and incredible fit. I'm wearing a 38, which translates to a UK10 or US6, and it's a little loose but comfortable. The waist tie helps cinch in the waist, which I really appreciate. I will probably order a 36 the next time I buy an Emmy dress, and let's be honest, I am absolutely going to add more Emmy to my closet!
I paired my dress with my new Jungle Cruise tote, some cute booties, and my favorite pink straw hat for the perfect Disney-inspired vintage look! I haven't done much Disneybounding here on my blog lately but I definitely feel more inspired these days. What kind of Disneybound would you like to see from me next? Let me know in the comments below!
