Harley

Pinup Girl Clothing Pinup Couture Harley Dress in 1960's Print

I've had such a love/hate relationship with the Harley dress.  On one hand, I love the cut and the summery feel to the dress.  On the other hand, the cut of the top portion of the bodice highlights my least favorite feature: my arms.  I've worn this cut in the past (seen here) but never felt comfortable enough to wear it again.  I recently stumbled upon this discontinued Harley dress in one of my favorite Pinup Girl Clothing prints and gave it another go.  I'm so glad I did, I pushed past my insecurities and fell in love!

The Harley dress has a fitted bodice but enough room to accommodate even the largest of busts.  The full skirt is absolutely twirl-worthy and drapes perfectly with out without a petticoat.  I've become such a fan that I've recently purchased this dress in the new Candy Stripe print.  I think it's safe to say the Harley is a new favorite!

This past week was quite a busy one.  I took a mini vacation with my mom and Bianca to Disney California Adventure.  We got to see the new Frozen show at the Hyperion (and if you haven't seen it and are local, do yourself a favor and GO!) and make some lifelong memories.  Unfortunately, the busy schedule and lack of sleep welcomed a cold.  Yep, I have a cold in June during 100+ degree weather.  I don't even know how to explain that one!

  2. Such a lovely dress, I really wanted it in baby yellow, but it either got sold out or didn't come available at all (it was in the PUG unicorn section, but isn't anymore).

I have to say I'm quite surprised how many people are so insecure about their arms, because I think that's one place that doesn't get any attention from other people. Well, at least I never stare at people's arms unless they are very hot, muscular men :D

  4. I love the cut of this dress and I think your arms look fantastic in it. I honestly think your arms look a lot like mine. This color is super pretty too.

I hope you start feeling better soon!
