Daisies and Cream

Pinup Girl Clothing Deadly Dames Jailbird Top in Black Red Ruby Vintage Full Skirt

There's nothing like a one-of-a-kind skirt!  I guess technically there's two, but the other one is in the closet of the very woman who made it: Gail from Red Ruby Vintage.  I've featured many of her items on my blog, I'm pretty sure I'm her biggest fan!  She uses vintage patterns and fabrics to create the most beautiful clothing.  If you've been following for some time, she's also the lovely lady behind my Brandy Rose dress.  I still get weird random people asking me to sell it (which will never happen)!

Yesterday Bianca and I went to Disneyland alone (we do it about once a month) and it was more than a bit challenging.  She's arrived at the terrible twos with the grandest of entrances, and I can't help but feel embarrassed and then question my parenting style.  She was screaming like a crazy person for absolutely no reason.  I just don't know how to effectively curb this awful behavior and it makes me feel completely helpless.  I honestly want to keep her in hibernation until she grows out of this, which is hopefully soon!  I know it's not the answer (I wasn't being serious) but I'm almost scared to take her out these days.  Those judgmental stares haunt my dreams!

  1. Bahah at "the grandest of entrances." You're doing great, and I know it's especially tough when Kevin isn't there with you. But pretty much every kid goes through that, and it certainly isn't anything you're doing wrong. Aaaalso your hair looks fantastic here, and this outfit is beautiful. <3

  2. What a gorgeous outfit! You look stunning once again. And I wish people could be a bit more understanding when it comes to screaming children.. ever since I've seen my siblings with their kids I know that sometimes there's just nothing you can do about it!

  3. Lovely skirt. Making clothes is something I'd love to take up...however I am the absolute worst at taking measurements and creating/cutting out patterns.

I'm sorry your little one has entered that phase. Not having any children of my own, I can't begin to understand the difficulties one goes through as a parent, but worry not. I have a feeling every parent doubts their own parenting. The important thing I think is to never be afraid to say the word no. And to hold your ground. Don't worry about the stares.:)
