Mother and Child

Pinup Girl Clothing Jenny skirt in Mary Blair Mother and Child print

I don't usually post "casual" looks on here because I really don't go anywhere without feeling dressed up.  For me, putting on a beautiful outfit is absolutely part of my everyday routine.  It makes me feel, well, like me.  If I have to tone it down a bit I'll wear flats or skip the petticoat.  This particular day was quite gloomy so I wore a buttoned up cardigan as a top.  When you wear a skirt this pretty you don't want anything covering it up!

Sorry (not really) that Bianca is joining me in yet another post.  When you wear a Mary Blair "Mother and Child" print you have to include the little one!  I wasn't going to purchase this skirt initially, only because I felt like I had to keep with the limited color scheme.  I paired it with black and I really enjoy the contrast.  I think it makes the skirt the star of the show.  Unless you're looking at my jewelry.  I don't know if you noticed but I'm wearing a chihuahua necklace!  I just about cried when I received it.  As a crazy chihuahua lady, I was more than excited to wear it.

I think all your positive vibes worked because I got Mother's Day off!  We are planning on going to brunch with Kevin's mom and then I get to test drive my possible new car!  I've been doing lots of research and I think I've found the one.  I'll let you know how everything works out next week.

xoxo

  8. The colors in this skirt are amazing and it looks so perfect with your hair! I really like the buttoned up cardigan worn as a top too. I need to try that! I have so many cardigans it's verging on ridiculous.

Also, I love seeing Bianca in your outfit posts!

  11. Getting dressed up SHOULD be part of any woman's routine -- or at least, getting dressed in a way that makes them feel good. I have been trying to make it a habit to get dressed and put on makeup every day since my 27th birthday because I know it improves the whole day.

I love that skirt! It's such pretty colors, and of course Bianca had to be in the shoot with its name! She is adorable, and getting so big!
