Happy new year! I've actually just emerged from one of the worst colds I've ever had. Bianca was sick and about 24 hours later I was just as miserable. It ended up ruining my New Year's Eve (I was in bed by 8:30) but I'm finally starting to feel okay. Trying to care for a sick baby while trying to take care of yourself is ridiculously hard. Thankfully she's almost back to normal so I assume I should follow suit.

This Unique Vintage dress is actually a sample. Of of the many perks of working at their store is being able to buy samples from time to time. Although this dress is a little high on my waist, it was too cute to pass up. A lot of dresses fit me this way, I guess that's the curse of having a really long torso. All I did was belt it with a thicker sash so I could fit it around my natural waist. I love the thicker fabric and the full skirt. No petticoats needed!
Yesterday was the greatest start to 2015. Why? Because the one and only Betsey Johnson tweeted a picture of Bianca! She happened to tweet one of my favorite pictures of her too. I'm absolutely honored, Betsey is one of my favorite designers. It puts a smile on my face just writing about it!

This weekend is special because Kevin and I have three consecutive days off together. This rarely happens so I'll be enjoying it to the fullest. I hope you have a lovely weekend!

ReplyDeleteAlso this dress looks amazing on you. I love the blue and red color scheme going on here. I can't tell it sits too high on the torso. I have the exact opposite problem since I'm short and very short waisted!
