Inspiration: Summer Outfits

It's been way too long since I've featured some of my favorite bloggers and their outfits.  I especially love seeing outfit posts in summer.  As someone who leans towards modest clothing, it always helps to see what others are wearing to beat the heat without everything on display.  Here are a few of my favorite outfits this season:

Serli of Le Soleil Chic
serli
Serli looks so cute in her emerald Luck Be A Lady dress in emerald.  I love the cut of this dress and it flatters her figure so perfectly.  She also has the perfect accessories!

olivia
Olivia is young but has such a mature sense of style.  I feel like she is wiser beyond her years in many aspects :).  I have some serious skirt envy over here!  I think the addition of the knot tied printed shirt dresses it down and makes it the perfect summer outfit.

suzanne
I don't wear many pencil skirts but Suzanne's outfit makes me want to get some more!  I love how this romantic silhouette is dressed down for daytime.  The print of the skirt is dreamy too :).

Becca of Super Style Me
Becca
I live in crop tops and skirts in summer.  Becca's nautical version of my favorite outfit has been stuck in my head ever since she posted it!  Unlike myself, she does a great job accessorizing her outfits.

lisa
I complain about the heat a lot but Lisa lives in Phoenix so I should probably shut up.  Her outfits are always fun, interesting, and desert friendly.  Plus, she looks super cute in hats!!!

What blogger inspires you?  Do you have a staple summer outfit?  Let me know in the comments below!

  1. I think bloggers come into their element in the summer! So many more fun prints around and you don't have to hide it all under a coat. This summer I've definitely been enjoying the crop top and skirt combo as well - also with a few pairs of capris here and there! My next goal is to go for cute two-pieces, I feel like it's a natural progression...

Picking an inspirational blogger is tough though - I feel like every blog I read gives me ideas in a different way. Yours is great for vintage dress shapes and colours with a modern edge... others are hardly vintage at all but there's something about how they put things together... etc etc. But that's what I love about reading blogs - it's like the world's a big glossy magazine filled with photos of real women and it's all free :) x

    1. You are absolutely right! I love seeing bloggers in their summer getups. I really want to get a pair of capris, they look so cute on you :).

I'm also inspired by so many different bloggers. Everyone has their own style and there's always something I can take away from it.

  2. Thank you so much for including me in this, Ashley!!! What a great round up of summer inspiration and some new blogs for me to check out! Beating the heat without baring it all is definitely the challenge of summer, thank goodness for all those cute prints out there :)

  3. I LOVE the first two outfits (and Olivia is a total sweetheart!) I'm not really into summer fashion, which practically makes no sense because I live in Florida and it is practically always summer. I just really love Autumn/Winter and the cozy fashion that goes along with it. But, my summer staple outfit has been a knee length skirt and a collared skirt. Kind of boring, but it's what I've been into.

    1. I'm just like you. Since we have no seasons we gravitate towards winter wear and layering. That's totally not boring! Sounds super cute :).

  4. Ahh thank you for featuring me in this post, Ashley, as a new blogger this made me super duper excited! I'm adoring all these outfits. It's nice to see how other ladies style their outfits in the summer, and they all look so lovely. Lately I've been gravitating towards orange, so I'm especially loving Lisa's outfit! Orange is such a cheery color and I find it so fitting for the summertime :)

  10. Thank you so much, Ashley! When I saw my picture, I literally ran up to my mom and showed her your post. And now I am whirling on a high of happiness or something. Again, thank you so much:)
I really do agree with your first commenter on here-Cici- with summer being a prime for fashion bloggers. Honestly, while winter clothes can be fun, I just love my summer wardrobe. You really see a surge of bright colors and happy prints on the blogs that you normally don't see in the wintertime. I'm going to be sad to put my summer clothes way until next time:/ If only I lived in Southern CA like you!
    Thank you again!!

    1. You're welcome! You are too cute and I had to feature that gorgeous outfit.

Well, I'm certainly jealous of people who experience seasons. My summer clothes work all year, I just put tights and a cardigan on for the cooler weather. But I am envious of people who get to wear layers and cute coats!
