Back to Normal

spots3

Let me just say: I'm pretty happy that I'm now a married woman.  My normal everyday stresses are sometimes annoying, but nothing compared to the added stress of wedding planning.  Even with a small ceremony you cannot hide from the little things that just get to you.  I can say with a huge sigh of relief that I can now worry about normal things like getting to work on time and what to make for dinner.  It's the little things...

Top- H&M (remixed)
Skirt- Forever 21 (remixed)
Shoes- Target
Scarf- Modcloth
Ring- Forever 21

I'm getting used to the whole "remixing my wardrobe" thing.  You never realize how much you can utilize a piece until you have to.  This peplum top looks great with pants, but since I never wear pants this top just went hidden in my closet.  This was the first time I wore it with a skirt and I actually liked it!  I tucked it in because a peplum silhouette with a skirt looks kind of shapeless.  What do you think?  How do you remix trendy pieces in your wardrobe?

I can't wait to show you wedding pictures and give you a look into our special day ♥

xoxo

Ashley

  5. Congratulations on getting married, I bet it is truly lovely and relaxing to just settle into your new life as a 'Mrs'.

I really love this outfit, you look so pretty and feminine. I think it's cute how you appear to have even co-ordinated the colour of your plaster (I think you call them bandaids in the US?) with your outfit. It made me smile.

Have a lovely Sunday, I am a new follower and loving your blog :)

  9. I don't really like peplum tops, but I like how you remixed it by tucking it into your skirt! Because the print is really cute :)

  13. Congrats again on getting married! I loved the photos you put on instagram, you two looked so wonderful!
I love this look, that skirt is such a gorgeous colour, and perfect with the peplum top tucked in. Remixing can be so tough, I am realizing there are some pieces in my wardrobe that were a waste. I think it'll help me be a better shopper

  16. Congratulations on the wedding, i'm so happy for you Ashley! :) This outfit is so pretty, I really like the high waisted skirt and how you tucked in the peplum top --such a great idea! I don't have a peplum top (yet!) but I did see Blair from atlantic-pacific wear a peplum top over a skirt and it looked really cute I think:

  18. I seriously can't wait to see the photos from your big day!! Hope it was everything you hoped for! Glad you're back to a normal less stressful life. That's a good idea to tuck in the peplum. I never wear mine with skirts because it just looks wierd...unless it's like a fitted pencil skirt or maybe a maxi? I really love the color of this skirt! :)

  27. Your top reminds me of sprinkles in a really cute kind of way, heheh! Would have neve guessed it was a peplum top--that's a creative way to wear a peplum shirt a different way. Cute pastels!

  32. I started my blog back in July partly to challenge myself to come up with new ways of wearing things. Only recently have I begun to really put together outfits that I never would have thought possible had it not been for the fashion/style blogging community (e.g., polka dots and tie-dye. Who knew?)

Congrats on being a married woman! I am so excited to see wedding stuff! Maybe it's the sleep deprivation talking here, but I didn't see any wedding stuff up yet. Looking forward to that!
