Hair Tutorial: How I curl my hair

Well, I've finally had some time to do a hair tutorial via pictures!  I've had some readers ask me how it's done so I'm going to try my best to explain it and show you through here :).

This is what you will need:
- Curling iron.  You can really use any size, but the wider the barrel the more loose the curls will be.
- Hair clip.  You're going to use this to section off your hair.

I started with my hair naturally dried.  You can blow dry it if needed, but I like to keep as much heat away from my hair as possible.

I like to section off my hair three times.  People with thicker hair may have to do it a few more times, but three gets the job done.  Here is where I section off the first part.  I like to do it right at my ears.
I will then point the curling iron down and wrap a section of my hair around the barrel away from my face.  I don't use the clamp at all, and if you'd like, you can take it off.  I hold onto the ends and don't heat them at all.  Believe me, it will help you prevent split ends!
And here is what it looks like:
I take the second section around the crown of my head.
And I'll repeat it by taking small sections and wrapping my hair around the barrel.

Here is a side view.
And the back.
Now on to the last section!

Here is the finished product:
Make sure to run your fingers through your hair and "mess up" the curls a bit.  You don't want it too look too perfect!
And you're done!  It usually takes me about ten minutes to do my hair, but that's due to my thin hair and being used to doing it everyday.  I hope this helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

xoxo
